Geography:

Chad is a landlocked country located in north-central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west.

Area: Approximately 1.284 million square kilometers (approximately 495,755 square miles).

Population: Approximately 16 million people (as of 2023 estimate).

Language: The official languages are Arabic and French.

Climate:

Chad’s climate varies from desert in the north to tropical in the south. The central region experiences a semi-arid climate.

Economy:

Chad’s economy relies heavily on agriculture, livestock, and oil. Despite the revenue from oil resources, Chad faces several economic challenges including geographic remoteness, poor infrastructure, and a largely unskilled labor force.

Government:

Chad is a presidential republic, where the President is both the head of state and head of government.

Education:

Education in Chad is compulsory from the age of 6 to 16. However, due to economic and social barriers, the country faces challenges in achieving universal primary education.
