Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson, was an American actress, model and singer who became an icon in the 1950s. Born on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, she spent much of her childhood in foster homes and an orphanage. She began her career as a model, appearing on the covers of numerous magazines before transitioning to film. Monroe starred in several successful movies, including “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” “Some Like It Hot,” and “The Seven Year Itch.” Her on-screen sex appeal and comedic timing made her a beloved actress and a cultural icon. In addition to her film career, Monroe was a talented singer and performed in several musicals. Tragically, she died at the young age of 36 from a drug overdose. Despite her brief life, Monroe’s legacy endures, and she remains one of the most recognizable and beloved icons of the 20th century.
