6. Logical order The supporting details within the essay as a whole are not developed in a logical order. The writer attempts to develop the essay in a logical order, but some of the essay may be presented in an order readers may find confusing. Most of the essay is presented in a logical order, and readers should have little trouble following the supporting details. The essay is developed in a logical order appropriate to the writer’s purpose and reader’s needs.

9. Satire Discussion

 

 

Little to no attempt at satire is made. Or the piece is simply a critical piece addressing the topic you have read about. Some attempts at satire are made, or a sufficient amount are made, but miss the mass completely. Irony and sarcasm are attempted, but either fall flat, or are difficult to distinguish. Attempts at satire are clear, but sometimes miss the mark, or are difficult to discern. The reader must stop and think, to understand or identify the topic being satirized. Satire used is visibly present throughout with a heavy use of irony, sarcasm, humor, absurdism, and the topic being satirized can be clearly identified as the topic of criticism.
10.Paragraph Structure No attempt at formatting, nor PEEL are present. Paragraphs are separated, but no PEEL is present. Paragraphs are separated, but PEEL is not visibly used throughout. Each paragraph is separated from the previous, and uses a PEEL structure where appropriate.
