???? Kids Book Read Aloud: A Tidy Whitey Wind

Hello, Reading Friends!

Hi there! I’m Ani, and I’m so happy you’re here to read with me. Today, we’re going to have a fun story about a windy day on a farm. Are you ready? Let’s find out what happens when the wind starts blowing in “A Tidy Whitey Wind” by Izzy B. If you have the book, grab it so you can read along!

The Windy Adventure Begins

Once upon a time, on a farm, the farmer’s wife hung some undies outside to dry. Suddenly, a big gust of wind came and whoosh! The undies flew up into the sky! The farmer’s wife tried to catch them, but they were gone, flying high above her head.

Undies on the Move!

The wind blew the undies past the farmer’s wife, and they seemed to wave goodbye as they flew away. One pair landed on a cow in the pasture, and the cow said, “Moo!” It was wearing the undies like a hat!

The wind kept blowing and took more undies up, up, and away. One pair landed in the hay near the horse, who neighed, “This is one nice feedback!”

Flying Undies Everywhere

The wind was so strong that it blew the undies onto the roof, where a crow picked them up and flew high into the sky, shouting, “Look, I’m flying!”

Then, the wind blew some undies into the meadow, where they landed on a sheep. The sheep said, “That wolf won’t recognize me in my new mask!”

More Silly Surprises

The wind kept blowing and blew undies onto the farmer’s Jeep, covering it completely. A goat found a pair and started munching on them, saying, “Tasty tidy whities!”

Finally, the farmer came outside and saw the goat with his undies. He laughed and said, “Hey, you silly billy, give me back my underwear!”

The Wind Settles Down

After all the fun, the wind finally calmed down. The farmer had to pick up all the undies from the animals and the ground. What a funny day it was!

Goodbye, Friends!

Thank you for reading with me today. I hope you had fun, and I can’t wait to read with you again next time. Bye-bye!

  1. What would you do if you saw something funny flying in the wind, like the undies in the story? Have you ever seen something unexpected flying around outside?
  2. If you were one of the animals on the farm, which one would you like to be and why? What would you do if you found a pair of flying undies?
  3. Can you think of a time when something surprising or funny happened to you or someone you know? How did it make you feel?
  1. Windy Day Experiment: Let’s explore how the wind can move things! Go outside with a grown-up and bring a lightweight scarf or piece of cloth. Hold it up and see how the wind catches it. Can you make it fly like the undies in the story? Try running with it and see what happens. Talk about what you see and feel. How does the wind make things move?

  2. Dress Up the Animals: Draw or use toy animals like the ones in the story (cow, horse, sheep, goat). Use small pieces of fabric or paper to create “undies” for them. Dress up the animals and make up your own silly story about where the wind might take their undies. Share your story with a friend or family member!

  3. Windy Day Observation: On a windy day, look outside or go for a walk with an adult. What do you see moving in the wind? Are there leaves, flags, or other objects blowing around? Draw a picture of what you see and talk about how the wind affects different things. Why do you think some things move more than others?

Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

Hello, my reading friends! It’s Ani. I’m so glad you came to read with me. If you like these stories, be sure to subscribe and make sure to watch all the way through because I’m going to do some shout-outs at the end. Are you ready for a story? Well, today you’re going to want to hold on to your britches because there’s a big wind blowing on the farm. Let’s see what the gust has picked up as we read “A Tidy Whitey Wind.” If you have a copy, go get it so you can read along with me.

**A Tidy Whitey Wind by Izzy B**

When the farmer’s wife hung some undies out to dry, a burst of whirly wind sent them high up in the sky. She pulled and tried to hold on tight, but those undies fled, so a tidy whitey wind started blowing overhead. That old tidy whitey wind blew on by the farmer’s wife. They waved as they went by, like those undies came to life. One zipped into the pasture and it fell upon the dew. Now someone’s wearing undies and they keep on saying, “Moo!”

That old tidy whitey wind kept blowing past the cow. It blew the farmer’s undies up, and they’re even higher now. One zipped on by the stables and it fell into the hay. Now someone’s wearing undies and they keep on saying, “This is one nice feedback!”

That old tidy whitey wind kept blowing past the horse. It blew the farmer’s undies up on a roller coaster course. Then some undies hit the roof and the king of crow flew. He shot high up in the sky shouting, “Look, I’m flying!”

That old tidy whitey wind kept blowing past the coop. It blew the farmer’s undies up and they’re flying loop-de-loop. One landed in the meadow by the daffodils and straw. Now someone’s wearing undies and they keep on saying, “That wolf won’t recognize me in my new mask!”

That old tidy whitey wind kept blowing past the sheep. Lots of undies went off-road and they covered the farmer’s Jeep. A pear went by a billy and he caught it in his jaw. Now someone’s eating undies and they keep on saying, “Tasty tidy whities!”

That old tidy whitey wind kept blowing by the goat. It sent the farmer’s undies up and it left them all afloat. Then the farmer came outside and he gave the goat a glare. “Hey, you silly billy, give me back my underwear!”

Well, that old tidy whitey wind seemed to settle down. Poor old farmer’s plucking undies off the animals and ground. Then something hit his honey, shivers shook his wobbly knees. His old honey couldn’t hide from a tidy whitey breeze.

Wasn’t that a funny story? I loved it! Alright, let’s do some shout-outs today. They’re going out to:
