Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have some fun in the kitchen with Awnie and her friend Blake. Are you ready to make something yummy and green? Let’s make Shamrock Shakes for St. Patrick’s Day!

What Do We Need?

To make our special Shamrock Shakes, we’ll need a few things:

  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Milk
  • Green food coloring
  • Peppermint flavor
  • Whipped cream
  • Sprinkles

Let’s Make Our Shamrock Shakes!

First, we need a blender to mix everything together. Let’s start by putting some vanilla ice cream into the blender. Yum!

Next, we pour in a little milk. Not too much, just enough to make it nice and thick.

Now, it’s time to add a few drops of green food coloring. Be careful, just a little bit to make it look like a shamrock!

Mix it all up in the blender until it’s smooth and green. Then, pour it into cups.

Let’s add some whipped cream on top. Do you like a lot of whipped cream? We do!

Finally, sprinkle some colorful sprinkles on top to make it extra special.

Time to Taste!

Now, it’s time to taste our yummy Shamrock Shakes. Mmm, they are really good! We hope you try making them at home too. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Hello to all of you, my good friends! I’m so happy you’re part of my reading family. See you next time!

  1. What is your favorite part about making Shamrock Shakes, and why do you think it’s fun to make them with friends or family?
  2. Can you think of other special drinks or treats you like to make for holidays or celebrations? What makes them special to you?
  3. If you could add your own special ingredient to the Shamrock Shake, what would it be and why?
  1. Color Mixing Experiment: Let’s explore how colors mix! Take three small cups of water and add a few drops of food coloring to each: one red, one blue, and one yellow. Now, mix them in different combinations to see what new colors you can create. Can you make green like our Shamrock Shakes? What other colors can you make?

  2. Flavor Exploration: Try tasting different flavors! Gather a few small samples of different flavored extracts like vanilla, peppermint, and lemon. Dip a clean spoon into each one and taste them. Which one do you like the most? How does the peppermint flavor remind you of the Shamrock Shake?

  3. Shake Creation Station: Set up a mini shake-making station at home. Use different ingredients like fruits, yogurt, or chocolate syrup to create your own special shake. What happens when you mix different ingredients? Share your creation with your family and see if they can guess the flavors you used!

Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:

Hello friends and welcome to Ani’s Kitchen! Today I’ve got Blake here to help me. What are we making today, Blake?

Shamrock shakes!

For what?

For St. Patrick’s Day!

Some nice green shakes. Okay, let’s tell them what’s going to go in it. What do we have here?

– Vanilla ice cream
– Some milk
– Some green food coloring
– Peppermint flavor
– Whipped cream
– Sprinkles

All right, let’s get started! First, we’re going to get our blender.

That looks good! Okay, ready for some milk? We’re just going to pour in a little milk, enough to mix it, but we still want it to be nice and thick.

And we’re going to put just a little green food coloring. Slow, slow, slow—just a few drops.

[Music]

All right, let’s pour it into the cups.

[Music]

Oh, you like a lot of whipped cream, don’t you?

[Music]

That looks delicious! You ready to try it?

All right, let’s try it!

And that’s really good!

Well, we hope you’re going to try this at home, and happy St. Patrick’s Day! See you soon!
