Hi there! Are you ready for a fun story? Today, we’re going to read a book called “So Many Turkeys on Felicia’s Farm” by Lynn Rowe. Let’s dive into the adventure!
Once upon a time, on Felicia Ferguson’s farm, there was a turkey named Thelonious. Every year, a turkey would disappear just before Thanksgiving. This year, Thelonious was the only turkey left, and he was getting worried!
With only seven days until Thanksgiving, Thelonious decided he needed a plan. He gathered all his farm friends and said, “I won’t go without a fight!”
The next day, Thelonious surprised Felicia by fixing some plumbing. He was trying to show how helpful he could be!
Five days before Thanksgiving, Thelonious found some paint and made a beautiful sign. He wanted to impress Felicia with his creativity.
Three days before the big day, Thelonious had another idea. He helped the chickens lay hard-boiled eggs! He was full of surprises.
The day before Thanksgiving, Thelonious played tricks to keep Felicia awake. He was trying everything he could think of!
Finally, on the morning of Thanksgiving, Felicia had a surprise for Thelonious. She took him in her truck and drove to town. Thelonious was very scared!
But guess what? Felicia took Thelonious to her fashion factory, where he would be stuffed—not for dinner, but as a friend!
On Thanksgiving Day, Thelonious helped prepare a big feast for Felicia and all the farm animals. They had a wonderful dinner together and gave thanks for their friendship.
And from that day on, Thelonious Turkey lived happily on the farm with all his friends.

Turkey Helper Role Play: Pretend to be Thelonious the Turkey and think of ways you can be helpful around your home or classroom. Can you help clean up, organize toys, or assist a friend? Share your ideas with your classmates or family and try to do one helpful thing each day this week. Discuss how being helpful makes you feel and how it affects others.
Create Your Own Farm Story: Imagine you are an animal on Felicia’s farm. What kind of animal would you be? Write or draw a short story about an adventure you might have on the farm. Think about what you would do to help your friends or solve a problem, just like Thelonious did. Share your story with the class or a family member.
Observation Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or school and look for ways animals or people are being helpful. Do you see birds building nests, ants working together, or people helping each other? Draw or write about what you observe and discuss how these actions are similar to Thelonious’s efforts on the farm.
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:

Today’s book is “So Many Turkeys on Felicia’s Farm” by Lynn Rowe. Let’s get started!
Every year, a plump turkey disappeared just before Thanksgiving. This year, there was only one turkey left on Felicia Ferguson’s farm. One day, that turkey was in trouble.
Wait! There’s so much more to come. Have some patience; I think you’re going to be surprised.
It was just a week before Thanksgiving, and Thelonious Turkey was becoming nervous about being dinner. Every day, Felicia fed Thelonious three meals of special seeds and plucked feathers from him, which made him very scared.
Seven days until Thanksgiving, Thelonious gathered his farm friends and made an announcement: “I will not go to the chopping block without a fight!”
The next day, Thelonious got to work early. He surprised Felicia with some plumbing work.
On the fifth day before Thanksgiving, Thelonious found a can of paint in the barn and made a beautiful sign.
Felicia kept feeding Thelonious and plucking his feathers. Thelonious wished he could stay alive for days to come.
Three days before Thanksgiving, Thelonious cooked up another idea: hard-boiled eggs for the chickens to lay.
The day before the chopping block, Thelonious played tricks to keep Felicia awake.
The next morning, Felicia had a surprise for Thelonious. She loaded him in the pickup truck and drove toward town.
Inside the building, Felicia grabbed Thelonious, who was very scared.
But wait! There are a couple of pages left.
Felicia took Thelonious to Pixley Felicia Ferguson’s fashion factory, where he would be stuffed.
On Thanksgiving Day, Thelonious prepared a feast fit for Felicia. They all enjoyed a lovely dinner together and gave thanks.
Today, Thelonious Turkey still lives on the farm with all of his friends.
