Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have a fun story time together. Are you ready? Let’s go on an adventure with a book called “Truck Full of Ducks” by Ross Burach!
In this story, a truck full of ducks is trying to find out who ordered them. They go on a journey, meeting lots of funny characters along the way. Let’s see what happens!
The ducks start their journey by trying to find the person who called for them. They visit different places and ask, “Did you call for a truck full of ducks?” But everyone says, “No!”
First, they meet someone who wanted a mail truck. Then, they find someone who needed a dump truck. Next, they meet friends who wanted an ice cream truck. But nobody wanted a truck full of ducks!
The ducks keep looking. They meet a pirate who wanted crackers, not quackers! They even meet someone from outer space who needed a tow truck. But still, no one called for the ducks!
Just when the ducks think no one wants them, they find out who really ordered them. It was a fox who wanted the ducks for his bath time! He loves having fun with the ducks in the bath. Scrub, scrub, scrub!
This story teaches us about being helpful and going on adventures. Even when things don’t go as planned, we can still have fun and find new friends!
Next time you take a bath, maybe you can have some rubber duckies join you, just like the fox! Remember, bath time is always more fun with duckies!
We hope you enjoyed the story “Truck Full of Ducks.” If you want to hear more fun stories, come back and join us again. See you next time!
Duck Detective Adventure: Become a duck detective! With a parent or teacher, go on a mini-adventure around your home or school. Look for items that start with the letter “D” just like “ducks.” Can you find a door, a desk, or a doll? Make a list or draw pictures of the things you find. This will help you practice being observant, just like the ducks in the story!
Build Your Own Truck: Use blocks, boxes, or any safe materials you have at home to build your own truck. Imagine what kind of truck it is. Is it a mail truck, an ice cream truck, or maybe a truck full of ducks? Once you’ve built your truck, share with your friends or family what your truck delivers and why it’s special. This activity will help you think creatively and use your imagination!
Bath Time Fun: Just like the fox in the story, have a fun bath time with rubber duckies or any bath toys you have. As you play, think about why the fox wanted the ducks for his bath. What other toys or items make your bath time fun? Share your thoughts with a family member. This will help you understand the joy of simple pleasures and the importance of play.
