Hello, my wonderful reading friends! I am so happy that you’re all a part of my reading family. See you next time!

  • What would you do if you found a magical box of yarn like Annabelle did? Who would you make something special for, and why?
  • Annabelle’s town was very dull and gray before she started knitting. Can you think of a time when you did something to make your home or school more colorful or cheerful? What did you do?
  • Why do you think the yarn never ran out for Annabelle? If you could have something that never runs out, what would it be and how would you use it to help others?
  1. Yarn Hunt Adventure: Just like Annabelle found a magical box of yarn, let’s go on a yarn hunt! Ask an adult to help you find different colored yarn or string around your home. Once you have a few pieces, try to create something fun with them. It could be a bracelet, a small weaving, or even a simple decoration. Share your creation with your family and tell them about Annabelle’s story!

  2. Colorful Town Drawing: Annabelle’s town was very dull until she started knitting colorful sweaters. Imagine what your town or neighborhood would look like if you could add any colors you wanted. Draw a picture of your colorful town and include as many bright colors as you can. Think about what else you could make colorful besides sweaters. Would you color the trees, the houses, or maybe even the cars?

  3. Magic Yarn Storytime: Annabelle’s yarn never ran out, and it seemed magical! What if you had a magical yarn that could make anything? Gather your family or friends and take turns imagining what you would create with your magic yarn. Would it be a giant blanket for everyone, a colorful playground, or something else? Share your ideas and see what magical creations you can come up with together!
