The second girl seemed okay too, but her ID said she was born on September 31st. That’s a fake because September 31st doesn’t exist!
Mrs. Cabell owns a company that makes designer cups. One Friday, she found out all her money was stolen and suspected one of her workers. Sloan, a sales manager, said she was talking to clients. Atticus, a potter, said he made one cup a day and showed all the cups he made that week. Sierra, a designer, said she was working but not very productive. Who lied? Atticus did because he showed only four mugs, but there are five working days in a week!
Lennox and Finn were friends living in the same dorm. Lennox reported that Finn hadn’t left his room all day and wasn’t answering texts. Lennox peeked through the keyhole and saw Finn lying on the floor, so he called the police. But Lennox got arrested. Why? Lennox had a bandage on his right eye, and the keyhole could only be looked through with the right eye. He couldn’t have seen through it!
Esme got lost in the forest and found a witch’s house. The witch had a riddle for Esme. She had 20 chairs, some with two legs, and half of the rest had no legs. How many legs did all the chairs have? The chairs had a total of 40 legs because, on average, each chair had two legs.
Mr. Tucker, a businessman, wanted to impress people with his art collection. He invited Miss Geneva Darby, a jewelry business owner, to see his paintings. But she wasn’t impressed. Why? One painting, supposedly from the 16th century, had cars in it, but there were no cars back then. The painting was fake!
