Hello, I’m Miracle! I’m so happy you’re here for Story Time. Today, we have a fun story to share. Are you ready? Yay!
Our story is called “A Jog in the Fog.” Do you know what fog is? Fog is like a cloud, but it stays close to the ground. It’s made of tiny water drops. Let’s get ready to listen and see what happens in the story!
In the story, there’s a dog and a hog. They like to go for a jog together. Do you like to run and play outside too? It’s so much fun!
The dog and the hog jog to a big log. On the log, they find a frog! The three friends start to play together. They are having a great time!
Suddenly, fog rolls in. The dog and the hog can’t see anything! They say, “We cannot see when there is fog.” But don’t worry, the frog has a plan!
The frog says, “I can help you. I can see when there is fog. Jump off the log and come with me. Jump down when I say 1, 2, 3.”
The dog and the hog jump off the log and follow the frog. They are a little nervous, but they trust their friend.
With the frog’s help, they find their way out of the fog. “I see our home,” says the dog to the hog. They are so happy to be safe at home!
They thank the frog for helping them. The frog says goodbye, and the dog and the hog are happy to be home. The end!

Fog in a Jar: Let’s create our own fog! You’ll need a glass jar, some hot water, ice cubes, and a metal lid. Pour a little hot water into the jar and swirl it around. Place the lid upside down on top of the jar and put some ice cubes on it. Watch as fog forms inside the jar! Can you see the tiny water drops? Talk about how this is similar to the fog in the story.
Animal Adventure: Pretend to be the dog, hog, and frog from the story. Create a simple obstacle course in your backyard or living room. Use pillows, chairs, or boxes to make logs and foggy paths. Take turns being the frog who helps guide the dog and hog through the fog. How does it feel to be the leader and help your friends?
Foggy Day Observations: Next time it’s foggy outside, go on a short walk with an adult. Look around and notice how things look different in the fog. Can you see far away or only things close to you? Draw a picture of what you see and share it with your friends. How is it similar to the story?
