  • Can you think of something in your home that is old and something that is new? How do they look or feel different?
  • What is something you have that is heavy and something that is light? How do you know which one is heavier or lighter?
  • Can you find an object that is soft and one that is hard around you? How do you use these objects differently because of how they feel?
  1. Adjective Hunt: Go on a mini-adventure around your home or classroom. Find objects that match the adjectives we learned today. Can you find something old and something new? How about something heavy and something light? Share your findings with a friend or family member and describe the objects using the adjectives.

  2. Adjective Art: Draw a picture of an object and use adjectives to describe it. For example, draw a big, red apple or a soft, fluffy pillow. Use as many adjectives as you can to make your picture come alive. Share your artwork with the class and explain why you chose those adjectives.

  3. Adjective Storytime: Create a short story using at least five adjectives from our lesson. For example, “Once upon a time, there was a new backpack that was very light and flexible. It loved to go on adventures with its soft teddy bear friend.” Share your story with a partner and see if they can spot all the adjectives!
