Getting Started: Tools and Preparation

Before you begin assembling your activity gym and saucer, gather a Philips head screwdriver and three AA batteries. Make sure you have all the parts by checking them against the diagram in your instruction manual.

Setting Up the Activity Gym Mode

To assemble the activity gym, start by locating the playmat (part number 16) and the two playmat hubs (part number 17). Unfold the playmat and position the hubs on either side, ensuring the arrows point towards the baby’s head. Thread the straps through the hub holes and secure them by opening the tabs.

Next, install the batteries in the toy bar. Find the battery compartment on the back of the toy bar, remove the door with your screwdriver, and insert the batteries. Test the power to ensure it’s working, then close the compartment and tighten the screw.

Attach the toy bar by snapping it into the slots near the arrows on the playmat hubs, with the mirror aligned with the arrows. Remember, the toy bar fits only when oriented correctly. Add the fish stalk with beads (part number 11) and the Bendy Leaf teether (part number 12) to the remaining slots on the hubs.

Transitioning to Saucer Mode

To assemble the saucer, begin with the base. Locate the three cover plates (part number 2) and snap them inside the base (part number 1). Insert the three-leg play surface supports (part number 3) into the base, ensuring the straight bottom snaps in and the grooved top with a button aligns correctly. Check that all legs are at the same height and tabs are properly inserted.

Next, find the play surface (part number 4) and remove the seat carrier (part number 13) by pressing the tabs underneath. Attach the play surface to the base by aligning the leg slots and pressing down until you hear a click. Attach the three toy sockets (part number 5) to the play surface.

Now, add the toys and toy bar by snapping them into the designated slots on the play surface. Use the picture on the box or manual for guidance on the order of attachment.

To transfer the toy bar between the playmat and saucer, press the release buttons on the toy bar connectors and gently wiggle and pull up to detach. Repeat the process to reattach.

Attaching the Seat

To attach the seat, locate the seat carrier (part number 13) and the six wheels (part number 14). Flip the seat carrier upside down and snap the wheels into the slots. Then, find the fabric seat (part number 15) and align the warning label with the arrow on the seat carrier. Slip the fabric over the edges and secure it using the loops and hooks inside the seat carrier. There are eight fastening points. Snap the seat into the center of the saucer, allowing it to rotate 360°.

If the seat isn’t spinning, check for obstructions between the seat carrier and the saucer play surface.

Using the Phone Music Device Mode

To use the phone music device mode, open the compartment door under the toy bar’s battery compartment by pressing the release tab. Connect the provided audio input cord to your phone or music device’s headphone jack. Switch the power to the phone icon and test the audio. Place your device in the compartment with the screen facing the window and close the door. Adjust the volume through your device.

While assembling your Lights and Sea Activity Gym and Saucer, you will need a Philips head screwdriver and three AA size batteries. Locate all the required parts for this product and match them against the diagram in your instruction manual.

**Activity Gym Mode:**
To assemble your activity gym, locate part number 16, the playmat, and part number 17, the two playmat hubs. First, unfold the playmat and place the playmat hubs on either side of the mat with the arrows closest to the baby’s head. Feed the straps through both holes on the hubs, and once they have passed through both slots, open up the tab.

Next, install the batteries into the toy bar. Locate the battery compartment door on the back of the toy bar. Using a Philips head screwdriver, remove the battery compartment door and install three AA size batteries. Turn the power on to ensure the batteries are working correctly, then replace the compartment door and tighten the screw.

Now, snap the toy bar into the slots closest to the arrows on the playmat hubs, with the mirror facing in the same direction as the arrows. Here’s a tip: the toy bar will only fit into the appropriate set of slots when facing the correct direction. Then, locate part number 11, the fish stalk with beads, and part number 12, the Bendy Leaf teether, and add them to the remaining slots on the playmat hubs.

**Saucer Mode:**
The first step in assembling your saucer is to assemble the base. Locate part number 2, the three cover plates, and snap them into the inside of part number 1, the base. Next, locate part number 3, the three-leg play surface supports, and slide them into the base. The bottom of the leg is straight across and snaps into the base, while the top of the leg has a groove and a button in the center. Repeat for all three legs. Note: be sure that the height levels match on all three legs and that the tabs are inserted correctly.

Now, locate part number 4, the play surface, and remove the seat carrier (part number 13) by pushing on the four tabs underneath the seat. Next, attach the play surface to the base by matching up the leg slots and pushing down until the buttons click. Now locate part number 5, the three sockets for toys, and attach them to the play surface.

You are now ready to add the other toys and the toy bar. Attach the toys and toy bar by snapping them into the slots provided on the play surface. Here’s a tip: follow the picture on the box or the instruction manual to attach the toys and the toy bar in the same order.

To remove the toy bar from the playmat and transfer it to the saucer play surface, simply push in the release buttons on either side of the toy bar connectors to release them from the base. You can do the same when transferring the toy bar from the saucer to the playmat. The connections on the toy bar are tight, so be sure to wiggle and pull up as you depress the buttons.

**Attaching the Seat:**
To attach the seat to the saucer, first locate part number 13, the seat carrier, and part number 14, the six wheels for the seat carrier. Flip the seat carrier upside down. On the bottom of the seat carrier, you will find six pairs of slots that the wheels will snap into. Push down firmly to snap all six wheels into place.

Now locate part number 15, the fabric seat. Find the warning label on the back of the seat pad and line it up with the arrow on the seat carrier. Slip it down over the edges and use the loops on the inside of the fabric seat to loop around the plastic hooks on the inside bottom of the seat carrier. There should be eight places to fasten the seat pad. Snap the assembled seat into the center of the entertainer. It doesn’t matter what direction it’s facing since the wheels allow the baby to rotate 360° in any direction. Here’s a tip: if the seat is not spinning, pull up on the fabric to make sure nothing is caught between the seat carrier and the saucer play surface.

**How to Use the Phone Music Device Mode:**
First, open the compartment door located under the battery compartment of the toy bar by pressing down on the door release tab. Use the audio input cord provided and connect it to your phone or music device’s headphone jack. Before you close the compartment door, turn the power switch to the phone icon and ensure the audio is working properly. Then insert the device into the compartment with the phone or music device’s screen facing the window and close the compartment door. Note: when connected, the volume will be controlled through your phone or music device.
