share us on:

In today’s lesson, we had a delightful time creating colorful Fruit Loop Rainbows using white pipe cleaners, powdered sugar donuts, and Fruit Loops cereal. We started by sorting the Fruit Loops by color and then strung them onto the pipe cleaners to form our rainbows, allowing for creativity in the arrangement. The lesson concluded with a celebration of our colorful creations and a special shout-out to friends from various locations, fostering a sense of community and fun.
  1. What colors did we use to make our Fruit Loop Rainbow?

Welcome to Awnie’s Kitchen: Let’s Make Fruit Loop Rainbows!

Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have some fun making a colorful and yummy treat called a Fruit Loop Rainbow. Are you ready to get started? Let’s go!

What We Need

To make our Fruit Loop Rainbow, we’ll need a few things:

  • White pipe cleaners
  • Powdered sugar donuts
  • Fruit Loops cereal

Let’s Get Started!

First, we need to sort our Fruit Loops by color. Can you find all the red ones, the blue ones, and the green ones? Great job!

Next, take two donuts and place them on your plate. One donut goes here, and the other goes there. Yum!

Making the Rainbow

Now, let’s take our white pipe cleaners and start stringing the Fruit Loops onto them. You can make a rainbow by putting the colors in order, or you can mix them up however you like. It’s your rainbow, so have fun!

Look at all the different ways we can make our rainbows. Aren’t they pretty? Show me yours when you’re done!

All Done!

Wow, our Fruit Loop Rainbows turned out perfectly! They look so cute and colorful. What do you think? We hope you try making these at home and have a super happy day!

Hello to all of you, my good friends! I’m so happy you’re part of our fun learning family. See you next time!

  1. What colors did you use to make your Fruit Loop Rainbow, and why did you choose those colors? Do you have a favorite color in your rainbow?
  2. Can you think of other things you can make with Fruit Loops or other colorful cereals? What would you like to create?
  3. Have you ever seen a real rainbow in the sky? What did it look like, and how did it make you feel?
  1. Color Hunt: Let’s go on a color hunt around your home or classroom! Can you find objects that match the colors of the Fruit Loops you used in your rainbow? Try to find something red, blue, green, yellow, orange, and purple. Once you find them, share your discoveries with a friend or family member. This will help you notice how many colorful things are around you every day!

  2. Rainbow Patterns: Use your Fruit Loop Rainbow to create different patterns. Start by making a simple pattern, like red, blue, red, blue. Then, try a more complex pattern, like red, blue, green, red, blue, green. Can you think of your own pattern? Share your pattern with someone and see if they can guess what comes next!

  3. Story Time: Imagine your Fruit Loop Rainbow is a magical bridge to a land of colors. What kind of world would it lead to? Draw a picture of this colorful land and tell a story about what you might find there. Share your drawing and story with your friends or family. This will help you use your imagination and creativity!
