Today, you will discover what music is and how it can make you feel different emotions. You will learn how to create your own music by clapping, stomping, and using everyday objects as instruments. You will also get to sing your favorite songs and dance to the rhythm, having fun while moving your body. By the end of this lesson, you will understand that music is everywhere and that you can be a music maker too!
Hello, little friend! Today, we’re going to have a super fun time learning something new. Are you ready? Let’s go!
Music is like magic! It’s made of sounds that can make us feel happy, excited, or even sleepy. We can hear music when we sing songs, play instruments, or listen to our favorite tunes. Isn’t that cool?
Did you know you can make music too? You can clap your hands, stomp your feet, or even tap on a drum. Try it! Clap, clap, clap! Now, stomp, stomp, stomp! You’re making music!
Do you have a favorite song? Singing is a fun way to enjoy music. You can sing by yourself or with your friends and family. Let’s sing a happy song together. La la la!
Music can make us feel different things. A fast song might make us want to dance, while a slow song might make us feel calm. How does your favorite song make you feel?
When you hear music, you can dance! Dancing is moving your body to the beat of the music. You can twirl, jump, or wiggle. Let’s dance and have fun!
Now it’s your turn to be a music maker. You can use anything around you to make sounds. Try using a spoon and a pot to make a drum. Tap, tap, tap! You’re a musician!
Music is all around us, and there’s so much to explore. Keep listening, singing, and dancing. Who knows? You might become a music star one day!
Thanks for learning with me today. Remember, music is magical, and so are you!
Sound Hunt: Go on a sound hunt around your home or classroom. Find different objects that can make sounds. Try tapping on a table, shaking a box of cereal, or jingling some keys. Listen carefully to the sounds each object makes. Can you create a little song using these sounds? Share your song with a friend or family member!
Feel the Music: Listen to a few different types of music, like a fast song and a slow song. After each song, talk about how it makes you feel. Does the fast song make you want to jump and dance? Does the slow song make you feel relaxed? Draw a picture of how each song makes you feel and share it with your class.
Make Your Own Instrument: Use materials like empty boxes, rubber bands, or paper towel rolls to create your own musical instrument. Decorate it with colors and stickers. Once your instrument is ready, play it along with your favorite song. Can you keep the beat? Show your instrument to your friends and have a mini concert!
