Let’s Have Fun and Learn Together!

Hey there! Are you ready to have some fun and learn new things? Let’s go on an adventure with our friends!

Jumping Like Animals

We have some new clothes to try on! Look, I’m a little rabbit! And I’m a kangaroo! We love to jump, jump, jump! But remember, it’s important to jump only in safe places. Dr. Lulu says, “No jumping on the bed or sofa because it’s dangerous!” So let’s jump on the ground where it’s safe!

Playing on the Slide

Do you like slides? We do! But there’s only one slide, so we need to take turns. Let’s line up and wait for our turn. When it’s your turn, hold the handrail, climb up the stairs, and slide down safely. It’s like sliding down an elephant’s long trunk! Remember, wait for your friend to finish before you go. It’s so much fun when everyone plays safely!

Being Safe at Home

When you’re at home, never open the door for strangers. If someone knocks and you don’t know them, don’t open the door. Always ask an adult first. It’s important to stay safe!

Going on a Car Ride

We’re going to the amusement park! In the car, we sing, “The wheels on the car go round and round!” Make sure to wear your seatbelt and sit up straight. It’s important to stay safe in the car. Look, there’s a Ferris wheel! We’re almost there!

Brushing Your Teeth

Let’s brush our teeth together! Brush, brush, brush, and make lots of bubbles! Remember to brush your teeth every day and be careful not to run while brushing. It’s important to keep our teeth clean and stay safe!

Shopping Adventure

We’re going shopping for a party! Let’s walk slowly with our shopping cart and stay with an adult. It’s not safe to run or climb on things in the store. Let’s find some yummy cookies and have fun shopping safely!

Getting Dressed for Snow

Wow, it’s snowing! Before we go outside, let’s put on warm clothes. We can put on our sweaters, pants, and socks all by ourselves. Check which side is the front, and then put them on. Great job! Now we’re ready for a snowball fight!

Thanks for joining us on this fun adventure! Remember, always play safely and listen to the rules. See you next time!

Discussion Questions

  1. When you pretend to be an animal, like a rabbit or a kangaroo, how does it make you feel? Can you think of other animals you would like to pretend to be and what fun things they might do?
  2. Have you ever had to wait your turn for something fun, like a slide or a swing? How did it feel to wait, and what did you do while you were waiting?
  3. What are some things you do at home to stay safe, like not opening the door to strangers? Can you think of other safety rules you follow at home or outside?

Lesson Activities

  1. Animal Jumping Game: Let’s pretend to be different animals and practice safe jumping! Can you jump like a rabbit or hop like a kangaroo? Find a safe spot on the ground and see how high you can jump. Afterward, talk about why it’s important to jump only in safe places. What other animals can you think of that like to jump?

  2. Slide Safety Role-Play: Set up a pretend slide using pillows or cushions at home. Take turns with your friends or family members to practice lining up and waiting for your turn. Remember to hold the handrail and slide down safely. Discuss why taking turns is important and how it makes playing more fun for everyone.

  3. Safety Detective: Become a safety detective at home! With an adult, walk around your house and look for places where you need to be extra careful, like stairs or the kitchen. Make a list or draw pictures of these places. Talk about how you can stay safe in each area. Can you think of any safety rules you follow at school or in the car?
