Let’s Go Fishing with Kiki!

Hi there! I’m Kiki, and today we’re going on a fun fishing adventure! Look at all the amazing sea creatures we can find. There’s a swordfish, an octopus, and even a puffer fish! Wow, isn’t that exciting?

Under the Sea

When we go fishing, we wear special clothes called wetsuits to keep us warm and dry. Let’s see what we can catch today! Oh, there’s a swordfish! It looks so cool swimming in the water.

Look, a lobster is jumping around! And there’s a kissing gourami fish. It’s so much fun to see all these different fish. You’re doing a great job helping me!

Frozen Aquarium

Oh no, the aquarium is frozen! We need to touch the screen to help. You’re so fast and smart! Look, there’s a cute goldfish and a tortoise shell. I’m so happy you’re here with me!

Shopping Adventure with Kiki

Good morning! Today, we need to do some grocery shopping. Can you help me find everything we need? Let’s start with some chocolate. Yum!

Finding the Right Items

We need to find fruits and vegetables, like corn. Oops, that’s not the right one. Let’s try again. You’re so smart! Now, let’s find some dairy products. Great job!

We can even design our own cake. How fun is that? You’re doing amazing!

Time to Pay

Let’s see what we’ve bought: a backpack, cake, eyeshadow, jellyfish, fruit and vegetables, chocolate, and napkins. Thank you for helping me! You did a great job, and here’s your prize!

Welcome to Baby Panda Carnival!

Welcome to the carnival! We have so many fun games and yummy snacks. Let’s play a game where we knock things down. You’re doing awesome!

Fun Games and Yummy Treats

Let’s try fishing with a rod. Keep going, you’re earning lots of points! Now, let’s chase the ducks with a water hose. You’re doing great!

We can also play the claw machine to catch toys. You’ve earned so many coins!

Delicious Snacks

How about some cotton candy? What flavor should we pick? Mango sounds yummy! And look, there’s popcorn too. It smells so good!

Thanks for joining me at the Baby Panda Carnival. We had so much fun together!

Discussion Questions

  • What was your favorite sea creature that Kiki found during the fishing adventure, and why did you like it the most?
  • Have you ever been to a carnival or a grocery store? What was your favorite part, and what did you see or do there?
  • If you could design your own cake like Kiki did, what flavors and decorations would you choose? Why?

Lesson Activities

  • Sea Creature Exploration: After watching the video, let’s create our own sea creature collage! Gather some colored paper, scissors, and glue. Cut out shapes to make your favorite sea creatures like a swordfish, octopus, or puffer fish. Arrange them on a large sheet of paper to create an underwater scene. Can you name each creature and share one fun fact about it with the class?

  • Frozen Aquarium Rescue: Let’s pretend our classroom is a frozen aquarium! Use your imagination to “unfreeze” the sea creatures by moving around like them. Can you swim like a fish, scuttle like a crab, or glide like a turtle? As you move, think about how each creature might feel in the cold water and what they might do to stay warm.

  • Shopping Adventure Role Play: Set up a mini grocery store in the classroom with toy fruits, vegetables, and other items. Take turns being the shopper and the cashier. As you shop, think about why each item is important. Can you find something that grows in the sea, like seaweed or fish? Discuss with your classmates how these items are similar to or different from land-grown foods.
