Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have fun learning about our body parts with a special song. Are you ready? Let’s go!
Let’s start with a fun song that helps us remember some important parts of our body:
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
And eyes, and ears, and mouth, and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
Now, let’s learn about some more parts of our body:
Elbows, ankles, feet, and hands, feet and hands.
Elbows, ankles, feet, and hands, feet and hands.
And hips, and hair, and fingers, and chin.
Elbows, ankles, feet, and hands, feet and hands.
Let’s sing the first part again to remember:
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
And eyes, and ears, and mouth, and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees and toes.
Did you enjoy singing and learning about your body parts? I hope you did! Remember to come back soon for more fun and learning!
Body Part Treasure Hunt: Go on a treasure hunt around your home or classroom to find objects that you can use to learn more about your body parts. For example, find a hat for your head, gloves for your hands, or socks for your feet. Once you’ve gathered your items, share with a friend or family member which body part each item is for and why it’s important.
Body Part Drawing Activity: Grab some paper and crayons or markers. Draw a picture of yourself and label as many body parts as you can remember from the song. Try to include some of the extra parts we learned about, like elbows and ankles. Show your drawing to someone and explain what each part does.
Body Part Movement Game: Play a fun game where you call out different body parts and everyone has to move that part in a silly way. For example, wiggle your fingers, stomp your feet, or nod your head. Take turns being the caller and see who can come up with the silliest movements!
