Color Hunt: Go on a color hunt around your home or classroom! Find objects that match the colors of the cars from the story. Can you find something red like Ned’s car or blue like Sue’s car? Gather your colorful treasures and share them with your friends or family.
Paint Your Own Car: Use paper or cardboard to cut out a car shape. Paint or color it using your favorite color, just like the characters in the story. Once your car is ready, give it a name and tell a story about its adventures. What color is your car, and where will it race to?
Color Mixing Magic: Experiment with mixing colors to see what new colors you can create. Use safe, washable paints or colored water. What happens when you mix red and blue? How about yellow and green? Share your discoveries and see if you can create a new color for a car in the story.
