Let’s Have Fun with Colors!

Hey there! Are you ready to have some fun with colors? Let’s move our bodies and learn about colors together. Follow along and let’s get started!

Shake and Move with Colors

When you see the color red, shake your head! It’s like a fun dance move.

When you see the color blue, twist your shoes. Can you twist like a twirly top?

When you see the color yellow, wiggle like Jello. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

When you see the color green, lean your body. Lean like a tall tree in the wind.

More Colorful Moves

When you see the color black, touch your back. Can you reach it?

When you see the color brown, jump up and down. Boing, boing, boing!

When you see the color white, stretch to the right. Stretch your arms wide!

When you see the color purple, turn in a circle. Spin around like a merry-go-round!

Even More Color Fun!

When you see the color gray, put your hands up and sway. Sway like you’re in a gentle breeze.

When you see the color pink, use your brain and think. What does pink remind you of?

When you see the color orange, make the shape of an orange. Can you make a big round circle?

When you see the color magenta, fly like a manta. Pretend you’re a big, graceful manta ray!

Rock Your Body to the Colors!

Now you know how to rock your body to the colors you see! Colors are so much fun, and they help us move and groove. Keep practicing and enjoy the colorful world around you!

  • What is your favorite color from the ones we talked about, and what fun move do you like to do with it? Can you show us?
  • Can you think of something in your home or outside that is one of these colors? What fun move would you do when you see it?
  • How do different colors make you feel? Do you feel happy, excited, or something else when you see a certain color?
  1. Color Hunt Adventure: Go on a color hunt around your home or classroom! Find objects that match the colors you learned about in the video. Can you find something red, blue, yellow, and green? Once you find them, try doing the dance moves you learned with each color. For example, shake your head when you find something red!

  2. Colorful Art Creation: Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to draw a picture using all the colors from the lesson. As you use each color, remember the movement that goes with it. Can you draw a red apple and shake your head, or a blue ocean and twist your shoes? Share your colorful artwork with a friend or family member and teach them the moves!

  3. Colorful Story Time: Think of a story that includes all the colors you learned about. What happens when the red apple meets the blue ocean? What adventure do they go on with the yellow sun and the green tree? Tell your story to a friend or family member, and act out the color moves as you tell it!
