Let’s Learn About Colors!

Colors are so much fun! Let’s talk about some of the colors we see every day.

Red and White

Red is the color of apples and fire trucks. White is like fluffy clouds in the sky. Do you like red and white?

Green and Black

Green is the color of grass and leaves on trees. Black is like the night sky. Can you find something green or black around you?

Purple and Blue

Purple is the color of grapes and some pretty flowers. Blue is like the ocean and the sky. Do you have a favorite between purple and blue?

Orange and Brown

Orange is the color of pumpkins and oranges. Brown is like the color of a teddy bear or a tree trunk. What orange or brown things can you see?

Pink and Gray

Pink is the color of cotton candy and some cute pigs. Gray is like a rainy cloud or a soft rock. Do you like pink or gray more?

Yellow

Yellow is bright like the sun and bananas. It makes us feel happy and warm. Can you find something yellow nearby?

Fun Color Activity

Let’s play a game! Look around your room and find something of each color we talked about. Can you find them all? Have fun exploring the colorful world around you!

  • What is your favorite color from the ones we talked about, and why do you like it so much?
  • Can you think of a time when you saw a lot of colors together, like at a park or a party? What colors did you see, and how did they make you feel?
  • Imagine you could paint your room any color you want. Which color would you choose and why?
  1. Color Hunt Adventure: Go on a color hunt in your home or classroom! Find one object for each color mentioned in the lesson: red, white, green, black, purple, blue, orange, brown, pink, gray, and yellow. Once you find them, arrange them in a rainbow pattern. Can you name each object and the color it represents?

  2. Color Mixing Magic: Let’s explore what happens when we mix colors! Use watercolors or colored pencils to mix two colors together. Try mixing red and white to see what new color you create. What happens when you mix blue and yellow? Experiment with different combinations and share your discoveries with a friend or family member.

  3. Colorful Story Time: Create a short story or drawing using your favorite colors from the lesson. Imagine a world where everything is your favorite color. What would it look like? Who would live there? Share your story or picture with the class and explain why you chose those colors.

Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:
