Welcome to a fun adventure where we learn about shapes! Shapes are all around us, and they can be so much fun to discover. Let’s jump in and meet some of these amazing shapes together!
A circle is round like a ball. It has no corners or edges. Can you think of something that is shaped like a circle? How about a yummy pizza or a shiny coin?
A square has four sides that are all the same length. It looks like a box. What can you find that is shaped like a square? Maybe a window or a picture frame?
A triangle has three sides and three corners. It looks like a slice of pie. Can you spot a triangle around you? Perhaps a slice of cheese or a roof on a house?
A rectangle has four sides too, but two sides are longer than the other two. It looks like a door. What rectangles can you find? Maybe a book or a table?
Shapes are everywhere! You can play games and solve puzzles with them. Try drawing different shapes and coloring them in. You can even make a shape hunt game with your friends!
If you want to have even more fun with shapes, you can join the Preschool Prep Kids Club! There are lots of games, puzzles, and videos waiting for you. Ask a grown-up to help you visit www.preschoolprepkidsclub.com and start your adventure!
Shapes are so much fun to learn about. Keep looking for them everywhere you go, and you’ll become a shape expert in no time!
Shape Hunt Adventure: Go on a shape hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that match the shapes you’ve learned about: circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. Can you find at least three objects for each shape? Draw or take a picture of what you find and share it with your friends or family.
Shape Art Creation: Use colored paper, scissors, and glue to create a picture using different shapes. Cut out circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles, and arrange them to make a fun scene or character. What can you create with these shapes? Maybe a house with a triangular roof or a robot with square and rectangular parts?
Shape Story Time: Imagine a story where the main characters are shapes. What adventures do they go on? Do they visit a place where everything is made of shapes? Draw a picture of your story and tell it to someone. How do the shapes help each other in your story?
