Hey there! Let’s have some fun counting marbles together. I have a collection of marbles, and I want to share it with you. Are you ready to count with me?

My Marble Collection

I have a total of 15 marbles. Let’s count them one by one:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15!

Wow! My marble collection is really big. I have 15 marbles in total.

What Did We Learn?

Counting can be a lot of fun, especially when you have something cool like marbles to count. Remember, counting helps us know how many items we have. So next time you have a collection, try counting it just like we did!

  • How many marbles do you have at home, or do you have a different collection of something else that you like to count? What do you enjoy about counting them?
  • Why do you think counting is important? Can you think of other things in your daily life that you count or could try counting?
  • If you could have a collection of anything in the world, what would it be and why? How would you count your collection?
  • Marble Hunt: Gather a small collection of objects like buttons, coins, or pebbles. Count them just like we counted the marbles. Can you find 15 items? Try counting them in different ways, such as by twos or fives. How does it change the way you count?

  • Counting in Nature: Go on a nature walk with a family member or friend. Look for things you can count, like flowers, leaves, or birds. How many can you find? Try to count at least 15 of something. Share your findings with someone and see if they can count them too!

  • Marble Math: Imagine you have 15 marbles, but you give 3 to a friend. How many marbles do you have left? Use real objects to help you solve this. Try different scenarios by giving away or adding more marbles. What happens to the total number?
