Hey there! Are you ready to dance and have some fun? Let’s move our bodies and shine like stars. Follow along with me and let’s get started!
First, let’s warm up. Step to the front and then jump to the back. Clap your hands and raise your arms high in the air. Wave them back and forth like you just don’t care!
Now, stomp your right leg to the left and your left leg to the right. Put one arm up and shake your hips. You can disco dance just like this!
Stop and strike a cool pose. Slide to the right and then slide to the left. Jump up and count with me: 1, 2, 3, 4! Let’s do the robot dance, move like a robot. You’ve got it!
Watch me, watch me! I can raise the roof and shake it loose. Shake it down and jump up high. Shine bright like a dancing star!
Let’s square it up. Step to the back, slide to the right, step to the front, and slide to the left. Now, do the cabbage patch dance. Circle your arms around and get down!
Time for a country dance! Stomp your feet and clap your hands. Turn around and clap like this: clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!
Stomp your right leg to the left and your left leg to the right. Jump up and crisscross your feet. Shake your shoulders and shake your hips. Shake it like a salt shaker!
Turn around and clap like this: clap, clap, clap, clap, clap. Turn around again and clap some more: clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap!
Now, it’s time to do your own dance. Dance however you like and then freeze! Let’s cool it down by doing the sprinkler dance. Take it down and relax. That was so much fun! We’re all done!
Dance Detective: Go on a dance detective mission at home or in your neighborhood! Look for different types of dances people do. Can you spot someone doing a dance move from the video, like the robot or the cabbage patch? Try to mimic their moves and show them to your friends or family. Ask them if they know any other fun dance moves you can learn!
Create Your Own Dance: Use your imagination to create a new dance move! Think about how you can combine some of the moves you learned, like stomping, clapping, and sliding. Give your dance a fun name and teach it to your classmates or family. Can you make a short dance routine with your new move included?
Dance and Count: Practice counting while dancing! As you dance, count each move out loud. For example, count how many times you clap, stomp, or jump. Try to reach the number 10 with your moves. Can you make a dance routine that includes counting up to 20? Share your counting dance with a friend and see if they can count along with you!
