Hey everyone, are you ready to have some fun? Let’s do a special dance called the Dinosaur Stomp! A long time ago, when dinosaurs were everywhere, they loved to party and play. They had a favorite dance, and now we can do it too!
A big dinosaur taught me how to do this dance. Follow along with me!
First, lift your right leg up high and take a big step. Now, lift your left leg up and take another big step. Walk like a big dinosaur, swaying side to side. Can you do it?
Next, turn around and give a mighty roar! Dinosaurs loved to roar, and you can too!
Now, pretend you have a big dinosaur tail. Swing it to the right, then to the left. After that, jump up high! You’re doing the Dinosaur Stomp!
The dinosaurs loved this dance so much, they didn’t want to stop! Even when the music stopped, they kept doing the Dinosaur Stomp because it was so much fun.
Are you ready to try it one more time? Lift your right leg up, take a giant step. Lift your left leg high and do it again. Walk like a big dinosaur, swaying back and forth. Turn around and make a mighty roar!
Then swing your tail to the right and to the left, then jump! Now you’re doing the Dinosaur Stomp! Isn’t it the coolest dance ever?
Great job, everyone! Keep practicing, and you’ll be a Dinosaur Stomp expert in no time!
Dinosaur Footprint Hunt: Go on a mini adventure in your backyard or a nearby park. Look for big leaves or rocks that could be dinosaur footprints. Imagine which dinosaur might have left them. Can you make your own dinosaur footprints in the sand or mud? Use your hands and feet to create different shapes and sizes!
Create Your Own Dinosaur Dance: Use your imagination to invent a new dance move that a dinosaur might do. Maybe it’s a “Triceratops Twirl” or a “Stegosaurus Slide.” Show your new move to a friend or family member and teach them how to do it too. What sounds would your dinosaur make while dancing?
Dinosaur Stomp Story Time: Draw a picture of your favorite dinosaur doing the Dinosaur Stomp. Write a short story or tell a story to a friend about what happens when your dinosaur dances. Does it make new friends? Does it find a special place to dance? Share your story with the class!
