Hello there! Have you ever heard about dinosaurs? If not, don’t worry! We’re going on a fun adventure back in time to learn about some amazing dinosaurs that loved to eat meat. Let’s get started!
The Velociraptor was a speedy dinosaur with long, strong legs and arms. It had a small head with sharp teeth, perfect for munching on its food. And guess what? It had feathers all over its body, just like a big chicken!
The Plesiosaur was a dinosaur that lived in the ocean. It was a great hunter with a long neck and strong jaws to catch its meals. Imagine swimming with this giant sea creature!
Spinosaurus was a huge dinosaur, even bigger than crocodiles! It had a long body with a special fin on its back. This fin had little spines, which is why it’s called Spinosaurus. It could grow up to 65 feet long and weighed a lot!
Pteranodons were flying dinosaurs with big, thin wings like a bat. They loved to fly near the ocean to catch fish. They also had a cool crest on their heads. Imagine seeing one fly by!
The T-Rex was a very famous dinosaur with more than 60 sharp teeth. It couldn’t run fast, but it could walk quickly. It was one of the most fearsome dinosaurs ever! And those tiny hands? So funny!
Wow, we learned about some awesome dinosaur cousins today! They were all meat-eaters, called carnivores. We saw the Velociraptor, Plesiosaur, Spinosaurus, Pteranodon, and T-Rex. Aren’t they cool?
Thanks for joining this dinosaur adventure! There’s so much more to learn, so keep exploring and having fun. See you next time!
Dinosaur Detective: Go on a mini dinosaur hunt in your backyard or local park! Pretend you are a paleontologist looking for dinosaur fossils. Collect small rocks, sticks, and leaves to create your own dinosaur model. Can you make a Velociraptor or a T-Rex? Share your creation with your family and tell them what makes your dinosaur special!
Dino Diet Exploration: At home, gather different types of food items like fruits, vegetables, and meat (or pictures of them). Sort them into two groups: what a carnivorous dinosaur like T-Rex would eat and what a herbivorous dinosaur would eat. Discuss with your family why certain foods belong in each group. Can you think of any modern animals that eat like dinosaurs?
Draw Your Own Dinosaur Adventure: Use your imagination to draw a picture of your favorite dinosaur from the lesson. Think about where it lived, what it ate, and what other dinosaurs it might have met. Write a short story about a day in the life of your dinosaur. Share your drawing and story with your class or family!

Hello! They told me that you don’t know anything about my cousins, the dinosaurs. Is that true? Well, don’t worry! With my time machine, we can travel back in time, and once we get there, I’ll tell you which ones were the most famous carnivorous dinosaurs. You’ll see, it’ll be super fun!

Oh, this is the Velociraptor! Check out its long, muscular legs and arms. Its head was small and elongated, and its jaw had very sharp teeth that were used to tear flesh. Also, its body was covered in feathers, just like a chicken.
Velociraptor!
Let me introduce you to the Plesiosaur. It was a marine dinosaur and an excellent hunter. Its neck and jaws were designed to help it capture prey easily.

Look, my cousin the Spinosaurus! Don’t we look alike? Spinosaurus was much bigger than crocodiles, but they say our skulls are very similar. Spinosaurus could reach between 32 and 65 feet long and weighed several tons. The fin that ran along its back had small spines, and that’s how it got its name, Spinosaurus.
This is a Pteranodon! They were flying dinosaurs, and their wings were very large and thin, like bat wings. They usually lived near the coast, where they looked for their favorite food: fish. And that crest? Impressive!
I wonder if they are in fashion!
Pteranodon!
Whoa, T-Rex! How scary! It had over 60 teeth, and although it couldn’t run, it walked very fast. It is known to have been one of the most ruthless animals ever to inhabit the Earth. I love those tiny little hands!
T-Rex!
I love my dinosaur cousins, and what a coincidence! The ones we’ve learned about today are all carnivores. Look at the cool pictures I took of them: Velociraptor, Plesiosaur, Spinosaurus, Pteranodon, T-Rex!
What’s the matter? Are you hungry? I’ll tell you some other day. Now I better get out of here in a hurry because I don’t want to be anyone’s snack. See you later!
