share us on:

In today’s lesson, we had a fun and creative time drawing faces while learning about the different parts of our face. With the help of our friend Olivia, we followed step-by-step instructions to create our drawings, adding details like eyes, a nose, a mouth, and even arms and legs. Finally, we colored our creations and added extra elements to make our artwork special, encouraging continued practice and enjoyment in art.

Let’s Draw Faces Together!

Today, we’re going to have lots of fun drawing faces! This activity helps us learn about different parts of our face while being creative. Are you ready to start?

What We Need

Before we begin, let’s gather our supplies:

  • A black pencil or a washable black marker
  • Paper for drawing
  • Crayons or colored pencils for coloring

Meet Our Friend, Olivia

Olivia is here to help us draw today! She’s very excited to learn about drawing faces and the names of the parts of our face.

Let’s Draw Step by Step!

1. Drawing the Eyes

First, we draw two circles for the eyes. Olivia draws her circles too! We color them in to make them nice and dark.

2. Adding the Nose

Next, we draw a circle for the nose, right between the eyes. Olivia colors it in beautifully!

3. Creating the Mouth

Now, let’s draw a big smile! We make a curved line under the nose for the mouth. Olivia adds some teeth by drawing little lines inside the mouth.

4. Drawing the Head and Hair

We draw a big circle around the face for the head. For the hair, we make a zigzag line on top. Olivia keeps going until her drawing has lots of hair!

5. Adding Ears

Next, we draw two ears on the sides of the head. Olivia knows just where to put them!

6. Legs and Feet

We draw two straight lines down from the head for the legs. At the bottom, we add circles for the feet.

7. Arms and Hands

We draw lines on the sides for arms. For hands, we draw circles and add lines for fingers. Let’s count how many fingers we have!

8. Drawing the Shirt

Finally, we draw a shirt on our character to finish the body.

Time to Color!

Now, let’s add some color! Olivia colors her cheeks pink, her shirt purple, and her hair brown. The grass is green. You can choose your favorite colors!

Adding Extra Fun

We can add more to our picture, like the sun, clouds, or birds. This makes our drawing even more special!

All Done!

We hope you had fun drawing with us! Remember, drawing faces helps us learn about our features and lets us be creative. Keep practicing and enjoy making art!

See You Next Time!
