Great job, everyone! Remember, when words rhyme, we exercise. When they don’t, we freeze. Exercise every day because it’s so good for you! Keep having fun with rhymes and moving your body!
Rhyme Detective Walk: Take a walk around your home or classroom and look for objects. Try to find two objects that rhyme. For example, if you see a “clock” and a “sock,” you’ve found a rhyming pair! Share your rhyming pairs with a friend or family member and see if they can find more.
Rhyme and Draw: Pick a word and draw a picture of it. Then, think of a word that rhymes with it and draw that too. For example, if you draw a “cat,” you might also draw a “hat.” Share your drawings with the class and see if they can guess the rhyming words.
Rhyming Word Hunt: Go on a rhyming word hunt in a storybook. As you read, listen for words that rhyme. When you find a pair, write them down or tell a friend. How many rhyming pairs can you find in one story?
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the transcript:
