  • Can you think of a flag from your country or a country you know? What colors and symbols does it have, and what do you think they might mean?
  • Imagine you could design your own flag. What colors and shapes would you use, and why? What would your flag represent?
  • Have you ever seen a flag in a special place, like at a school or during a parade? How did it make you feel, and why do you think flags are important in those places?
  1. Flag Design Challenge: Create your own flag using paper, crayons, or colored pencils. Think about the colors and symbols that represent you or your family. Once you’ve designed your flag, share it with your family or classmates and explain why you chose those colors and symbols.

  2. Flag Scavenger Hunt: With the help of an adult, go on a scavenger hunt around your home or neighborhood to find objects that match the colors of the flags you’ve learned about. For example, find something red for Denmark or something blue for Finland. Make a list of the items you find and see how many flags you can match!

  3. Flag Story Time: Pick one of the flags from the lesson and imagine a story about it. What adventures might the flag have if it could travel? Where would it go, and what would it see? Draw a picture or write a short story about the flag’s journey and share it with your family or friends.
