Welcome to the African Savannah!

Hi there! Let’s go on a fun adventure to the African savannah, where we will meet a special friend, the Buffalo!

Meet the Buffalo

The African savannah is a big, grassy place where many animals live. One of these animals is the Buffalo. The Buffalo has shiny black skin and sometimes wears a curly wig just for fun!

Let’s Sing Together!

Our Buffalo friend loves to sing. When we sing together, we can say, “Follow me, follow, follow Buffalo!” It’s a fun song that everyone can join in. Let’s all sing and dance along!

Dress Up Fun

Sometimes, the Buffalo likes to dress up. It might put on a curly wig or a fancy tailcoat. Dressing up is a fun way to pretend and play. Do you like to dress up too?

  • What do you think it would be like to visit the African savannah and see a Buffalo in real life? What other animals do you think you might see there?
  • If you could dress up like any animal, which one would you choose and why? What kind of costume would you wear?
  • Have you ever sung a song with your friends or family that made you feel happy? What was the song about, and why did you enjoy it?
  1. Buffalo Dress-Up Craft: Let’s make our own Buffalo costume! Gather some craft materials like paper, crayons, and scissors. Draw and cut out a curly wig and a tailcoat. You can color them any way you like. Once you’re done, wear your creations and pretend to be a Buffalo. How does it feel to dress up like our Buffalo friend?

  2. Savannah Safari Walk: Take a walk outside and pretend you are on a safari in the African savannah. Look around and see if you can spot anything that reminds you of the savannah, like tall grass or animals. What animals do you see in your neighborhood? How are they similar or different from the Buffalo?

  3. Buffalo Song and Dance: Gather your family or friends and teach them the “Follow me, follow, follow Buffalo” song. Create a simple dance to go along with it. How does singing and dancing together make you feel? Can you think of other animals you would like to sing about?
