Hello, friends! Today, we’re going to have a fun story time together. Are you ready? Let’s go on an adventure with a little mouse and some colorful eggs!
Once upon a time, there was a cute little mouse who loved Easter. The night before Easter, Mouse was very busy decorating eggs with lots of pretty colors. Can you imagine all the colors he used?
When Mouse woke up on Easter morning, he found a big surprise! There was a yellow egg hiding under his covers. How did it get there? Mouse was very curious!
As he looked around, he found red eggs on the counter and blue eggs under the rocking chair. Wow! Who could have hidden all these eggs?
Mouse kept searching and found four orange eggs on the sofa. He even found green eggs on the desk. Mouse thought, “These eggs are so beautiful, but who is hiding them everywhere?”
Mouse was a little worried about who was hiding the eggs. But then, he discovered the secret—it was the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny was the one hiding all the colorful eggs for Mouse to find. How exciting!
Mouse was so happy to know it was the Easter Bunny. Now, he could enjoy all the eggs and have a wonderful Easter. And that’s the end of our story!

Color Hunt: Let’s go on a color hunt just like the little mouse! Look around your home or classroom and find objects that match the colors of the eggs in the story: yellow, red, blue, orange, and green. Can you find something for each color? Egg Decorating: Just like the mouse, you can decorate your own paper eggs! Use crayons, markers, or paint to color your eggs with the same colors from the story. Try to create patterns or designs. Once you’re done, you can hide them around your room and have a mini egg hunt with your friends or family.
Story Time Detective: Imagine you are a detective like the mouse. Think about why the Easter Bunny might hide eggs. What do you think the Easter Bunny wants to share with the mouse and you? Discuss with a friend or family member what surprises or fun things you might find if you were on an Easter egg hunt.

Okay, Craig, I have to come clean too. I put one piece of blue tape on my face.

And it’s all because you’re holding a fake mustache!
This is a real mustache! If it were fake, I would have shaved it off.
