Hello, little artist! Are you ready to have some fun? Today, we’re going to draw a character named “17” from a cool video called “Meet the Numbers Two.” If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a super fun video to watch!
For our drawing adventure, we’ll need six colors: black, gray, brown (or burgundy), red, orange, and yellow. But don’t worry if you don’t have all these colors. You can use any colors you like!
First, grab your crayons and let’s begin! If you need to get your crayons, you can pause for a moment and come back when you’re ready.
Let’s draw the face! Start with a big circle for the head. Then, add two smaller circles inside for the eyes. Inside each eye, draw a tiny circle to make them sparkle.
What else does a face need? A smile! Our character is singing, so let’s draw an oval shape for her singing mouth.
Now, let’s draw a microphone! Draw a big circle at one end, like an ice cream cone that fell over. Add some lines to make it look real. Use gray to color the microphone and its stand.
Time to draw the hands! Draw little ovals that curve up for the gloves. Do the same on the other side.
Let’s use brown or burgundy for her dress. Draw a triangle that curves up, and add a little curve for the dress’s crease. Her feet look like tiny seeds—fancy shoes!
Make sure her feet are at the same level as the microphone stand. Draw her legs with two lines on each side.
Now, let’s draw her hair! Make a big, funky-shaped oval and connect it to her body. Add some squiggly lines for a shiny look.
Let’s outline our character. If you have a template, you can trace it. Add some creases to her dress for extra detail.
Use red to color her dress and shoes. Then, use orange for her hair. Finally, add yellow to the squiggly lines in her hair for a shiny effect.
And there you go! You did an amazing job! You can cut out your drawing and hang it up for everyone to see.

Goodbye for now! See you in the next drawing adventure!
Color Hunt: Let’s go on a color hunt! Look around your home or classroom and find objects that match the colors we used in our drawing: black, gray, brown, red, orange, and yellow. Can you find something for each color? Once you find them, share with a friend or family member what you found and why you think it matches the color.
Character Storytime: Imagine a story about your character “17.” Where is she going with her microphone? Is she singing at a concert or practicing in her room? Draw a picture of the place where she is singing and tell a short story about her adventure. Share your story with your class or family.
Shape Detective: Become a shape detective! Look at your drawing and identify all the shapes you used, like circles for the head and eyes, ovals for the hands, and triangles for the dress. Now, look around your environment and find objects that have these shapes. Can you find a circle, oval, or triangle in your classroom or home?
Sure! Here’s a sanitized version of the YouTube transcript:

Hello! I hope you’re ready. Today, we’re going to draw the character 17 from the “Meet the Numbers Two” video. If you haven’t already watched it, it’s a really fun video, and I think you should definitely check it out!

For today’s character, we’re going to use six colors: black, gray, brown (or burgundy), red, orange, and yellow. I’m going to use brown today just to show you that you can substitute your colors with any colors you have.
Let’s begin! Go ahead and grab your crayons if you haven’t already done so. You can always pause the video to grab your crayons.
Now, the first step is to draw the face. This character’s face is going to be a circle here and another circle here for her eyes. Then, we’ll draw a smaller circle inside the big circle on both sides to fill in for the glare of the eyeballs.
What else does a face need? That’s right, a smile! In this case, this character has a microphone, so you can have her smiling or singing. Let’s have her singing! We’ll draw an oval shape to represent that.
Next, we’re going to start drawing the microphone. We’ll draw one big circle at one end, and it will look kind of like an ice cream cone that tipped over. We’ll draw lines on the microphone just like that. Perfect!
Now, let’s move on to gray. With gray, we’ll fill in the microphone and the part she’s going to sing into, as well as the microphone base.
This microphone has a stand, so we’ll draw one line here and another line there to close it up. Then, we’ll draw a little oval shape to hold the microphone up.
Next, we’re going to draw the hands. The hands can be a little tricky, but just follow along with me. We’ll draw a little oval that curves up for the top of her glove. Then, we’ll do the same thing on the other side.
Now, let’s move on to brown or burgundy. This character’s color is kind of in the middle, so I figured we could experiment with this color. It will work with any color, trust me!
Let’s go ahead and draw her dress. We’ll start on this corner, drawing a triangle that curves up, and then we’ll add a little curve for the crease of her dress. Next, we’ll draw her feet, which will look like little seeds—really fancy shoes!
Make sure her feet are at the same level as the microphone stand since she’s standing at the same height. Now, we’ll draw her legs with two lines on each side to connect them.
Next, we’re going to draw her hair. The hair will be one big funky-shaped oval. Then, we’ll curve it down and connect it to her body.
Now, let’s add a little shine to her hair with some squiggly lines—two squiggly lines, one on top of the other. She also needs arms, so we’ll add two lines for that.
Be careful when coloring with dark and light colors, as the dark color can easily leak into the light color.
Perfect! Now, let’s do the outline of this character. If you have this template, you can download it from the Preschool Prep Kids Club website. There’s a link in the description under this video where you’ll find a free trial to the kids club with more exclusive videos like this one.
Let’s trace the outside and then the inside. Perfect! If there are any spots left, you can fill them in.
I think it’s looking pretty good!
Before we finish with this color, let’s add some creases to her dress. One right there and one right there. Perfect!
Now we can put that color aside and move on to red. Red is a nice color, so go ahead and start filling it in. I’ll speed up this part of the video. Oops! Can’t forget the beautiful red shoes!
[Applause]
Wow, perfect! Next, we’ll move on to orange. Remember, you can color this character any color you like, but if you’re following along, we’ll use orange for her hair.
Let’s fill in the hair, and I’ll fast forward this part.
[Music]
Alright, last but definitely not least, yellow! We’re going to fill in the squiggly line area with yellow for her little shine in the hair. That’s perfect, and that’s it! We’re done!
You can go ahead and cut it out and hang it up—it’s all up to you! For more exclusive videos like this one, you can visit us at the Kids Club at www.preschoolprepkidsclub.com and join today.
I’ll see you in the next video!
