Create Your Own Surprise Easter Bunny

Welcome to a fun and exciting activity where you can make your very own surprise Easter bunny! This project is great for everyone, and you only need a few simple things to get started. Let’s have some fun!

Materials Needed

Before we start, make sure you have these supplies ready:

  • Drawing paper
  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Scratch paper (to keep your table clean)
  • A friend or family member to join the fun!

Step 1: Folding the Paper

  1. Initial Fold: Take your drawing paper and fold the top edge down to meet the bottom edge. Press the fold firmly in the middle and out to the corners.
  2. Create Flaps: Take the top flap and fold it down to meet the top edge of the paper again. Press the fold firmly.
  3. Flip and Repeat: Turn your paper over and do the same fold on the other side. This will help you draw your bunny.
  4. Unfold: Open the paper and lay it flat. You’ll see lines that will guide you in drawing your bunny.

Step 2: Drawing the Bunny

Bunny Face

  1. Draw the Nose: Above the fold in the center, draw a “V” shape for the bunny’s nose and connect the top.
  2. Add Eyes: Draw two circles for eyes, one on each side. Make them big for a cute look! Add little circles inside for pupils.
  3. Shape the Head: From the fold, draw a curved line for the top of the bunny’s head and connect it back to the fold. Draw the bottom part of the head too.
  4. Mouth and Ears: Draw a line for the mouth on the fold, splitting it between the top and bottom parts. Add ears by drawing upside-down “U” shapes at the top.
  5. Whiskers and Bowtie: Draw whiskers above the fold and a bowtie under the chin.

Bunny Body

  1. Draw the Body: Sketch curves for the shoulders and lines for the bunny’s belly.

Step 3: Connecting the Bunny

  1. Open the Paper: Flatten your paper to see the top and bottom halves of the bunny.
  2. Connect the Features: Draw lines to connect the top of the head to the bottom, making a big mouth. Add details like teeth, with tall front teeth and smaller side teeth.
  3. Draw the Tongue: In the middle of the mouth, draw a heart-shaped tongue and add the back of the mouth above it.

Step 4: Coloring and Adding Surprises

  1. Color Your Bunny: Now it’s time to color your Easter bunny! Use any colors you like.
  2. Add Candy and Carrots: Below the top fold and above the bottom guide fold, draw some candy and carrots to surprise everyone when the bunny is opened.

Step 5: Create a Puppet

For extra fun, you can turn your Easter bunny into a puppet!

  1. Fold for Puppet: Fold the paper so it opens like a puppet.
  2. Attach Tape: Use tape to secure the top of your hand to the bunny, making it easy to open and close.

Conclusion

Congratulations! You’ve made your very own surprise Easter bunny. We hope you had a great time with this activity. Enjoy showing off your colorful creation and sharing it with friends and family. Happy Easter!
