Let’s Draw a Bouncy House!

Drawing a bouncy house is super fun and easy! You can use your imagination to make it colorful and exciting. Let’s learn how to draw one step by step. Grab your paper and crayons, and let’s get started!

What You’ll Need

Before we start, make sure you have these things:

  • Paper
  • Markers, pencils, or crayons
  • Something to protect your table

Step 1: Draw the Entrance

First, let’s draw the entrance of the bouncy house. In the middle of your paper, draw an upside-down “U” shape. This is where people will enter the bouncy house.

Now, draw a bigger upside-down “U” around the first one. This will be the tunnel that leads inside.

Step 2: Make the Tunnel

To make the entrance look puffy, connect the two “U” shapes with a smaller “U” at the top. Then, draw slanted lines coming down from each side to make the sides of the tunnel.

Add another set of slanted lines, leaving a little space between them, and connect these with curves to make it look round.

Step 3: Draw the Base

Now, let’s draw the bottom of the bouncy house. Draw a curved line going left and right, then curve it down to make the ramp or stairs leading inside.

Do the same on the right side to finish the base.

Step 4: Add Castle Features

To make your bouncy house look like a castle, draw slanted lines going up on both sides. Then, draw another slanted line inside to show the castle walls.

Connect the tops of these lines with a curve to make the roof.

Step 5: Create the Towers

Next, draw two slanted lines going out from the top of the castle. Add a point at the top and draw slanted lines down on both sides, curving them in to make the towers look round.

Do the same on the right side to make it look even.

Step 6: Connect the Towers

To join the two towers, draw an upside-down “U” shape in the middle. Then, add two more upside-down “U” shapes on each side, curving them down a little.

Step 7: Add 3D Details (Optional)

If you want to make your drawing look more real, you can add some extra lines to the towers. Draw short slanted lines and curves to match the shape of the towers, but you can skip this if you want to keep it simple.

Step 8: Color Your Drawing

Now that your bouncy house is all drawn, it’s time to color it! Use bright colors to make it stand out. You can also draw kids jumping inside to make it more fun.

Conclusion

Great job! You’ve drawn and colored your very own bouncy house. This activity helps you practice drawing and lets you be creative with colors. Enjoy your masterpiece, and happy drawing!

  • What colors would you choose for your bouncy house, and why? Can you think of a time when you saw something colorful that made you happy?
  • If you could add any special features to your bouncy house, like a slide or a ball pit, what would they be? Why do you think those features would be fun?
  • Have you ever been inside a bouncy house? What did it feel like, and what did you enjoy the most about it? If not, what do you imagine it would be like?
  1. Build a Mini Bouncy House: Use building blocks or small boxes to create a 3D model of a bouncy house. Think about the shapes you used in your drawing, like the upside-down “U” for the entrance and the towers. Once you’ve built your model, decorate it with colorful paper or markers. This will help you understand how shapes come together to make a structure.

  2. Color Hunt: Go on a color hunt around your home or classroom. Look for objects that match the colors you used in your bouncy house drawing. Can you find something red, blue, or yellow? Make a list or draw the objects you find. This activity helps you connect the colors in your drawing to the world around you.

  3. Imagine and Draw: Imagine if your bouncy house could be any shape or theme. Would it be a pirate ship, a spaceship, or a jungle? Draw your new bouncy house idea on a piece of paper. Think about what shapes you would use and what colors would make it exciting. Share your drawing with a friend or family member and explain why you chose that theme.
