Drawing is a super fun way to use your imagination, and today we’re going to learn how to draw a magical unicorn cat! Grab your paper and pencils, and let’s get started on this exciting adventure!
First, place your paper in front of you. Draw a small “V” shape near the top center of the paper. This will be the cat’s nose. Then, add a little curve on top of the “V” to finish the nose.
Below the nose, draw a curved “W” shape for the mouth. To make your cat look happy, add a “U” shape underneath for an open mouth, and a small curve inside for the tongue.
Draw two big ovals on each side of the nose for the eyes. Make them nice and big! Inside each eye, draw a tiny circle in the top right corner for a shiny spot. Color in the big oval, but leave the tiny circle white.
Give your unicorn cat some style by adding three little eyelashes on each eye. You can add more if you want!
Above the nose, draw an upside-down “V” shape for the unicorn horn. Connect the bottom with a small curve to make it look round. You can add little curves across the horn for texture.
Draw upside-down “V” shapes on each side of the head for the ears. Make sure they are the same size. Inside each ear, draw a smaller “V” shape and add zigzag lines at the bottom for detail.
Now, draw the shape of the cat’s head. Start from the chin, curve down, and then back up to connect with the other ear. This will give your cat a nice round face.
Start from the chin and draw a curve that goes down and then back up at the end. For the front legs, draw upside-down “U” shapes coming out from the body. Add two little lines at the end for the paws.
For the back legs, start inside the body and curve down, then back up to connect with the body. Do the same for the other back leg. Add two little toe lines for each foot.
Draw a big, flowing tail using an “S” curve. Start by curving up, then back down, and up again. Add zigzag lines to give the tail texture and connect it to the body.
Draw whiskers by making one curve coming out of each cheek. Add a longer curve and a shorter one below it on both sides.
Now that your unicorn cat is all drawn, it’s time to add some color! Use markers, crayons, or colored pencils. Pick your favorite colors and have fun. You can even add shiny spots in the eyes!
To make your drawing even more magical, think about adding clouds, rainbows, or more unicorn cats playing in the sky!
Great job! You’ve drawn and colored your very own unicorn cat. Remember, art is all about having fun, so add your special touches. Enjoy drawing and let your creativity shine!
Unicorn Cat Adventure: Take your unicorn cat drawing on an adventure! Imagine where your unicorn cat might go and what it might see. Draw a new picture showing your unicorn cat in a magical place, like a candy forest or a starry sky. Share your drawing with a friend and tell them a story about your unicorn cat’s adventure.
Color Mixing Magic: Use crayons or colored pencils to explore how different colors can make your unicorn cat look even more magical. Try mixing two colors together to see what new colors you can create. For example, use blue and yellow to make green for the grass or mix red and white to make pink for the unicorn horn. What new colors can you discover?
Observation Walk: Go on a walk around your neighborhood or in a park with a grown-up. Look for real animals and notice their features, like the shape of their ears or the way they move. When you get back, add some of these features to your unicorn cat drawing. Maybe your unicorn cat has the fluffy tail of a squirrel or the long ears of a rabbit!
