How to Draw a Flying Pig: A Fun Guide

Drawing is a super fun way to be creative! Today, we’re going to learn how to draw a funny flying pig. Get your paper and something to draw with, and let’s start!

Step 1: Draw the Pig’s Nose

First, draw an oval shape for the pig’s nose. Put it on the left side of your paper so there’s room for the pig’s body and wings. Inside the oval, draw two smaller ovals for the nostrils.

Step 2: Add the Eyes

Next, draw two circles for the eyes, one on each side of the nose. Make sure they are the same size. Inside each eye, draw a smaller oval in the top left corner. Color the big circle but leave the small oval white to make the eyes look shiny.

Step 3: Create the Pig’s Head

To make the pig’s head, draw a big upside-down U-shape starting from the sides of the nose. Then, draw curves coming down from the head to make the cheeks, leaving a little space under the chin.

Step 4: Draw the Ears

For the ears, draw curves coming out from the head on both sides. Then, draw a curve down on each side for the bottom of the ears, and add a small line inside for the ear details.

Step 5: Sketch the Wings

Now, let’s add wings! Draw a diagonal line coming out from the cheek, curving up to the right. For the feathers, draw a series of sideways U-shapes that get smaller as they curve back to the head. Do this again to make the second wing, making sure it looks like it can fly!

Step 6: Draw the Neck and Legs

Next, draw a curve coming down from the left side of the head for the neck. For the front legs, draw a curve coming out from the neck, then add the pig toes by drawing an upside-down V shape. Connect this to the body with a curve. Do the same for the second front leg, making sure both legs are strong.

Step 7: Add the Body and Back Legs

Imagine the belly line going behind the front legs and draw the belly curving back to the right. For the back legs, draw a shape like a big W, then add the toes with an upside-down V shape, connecting back to the body.

Step 8: Complete the Pig’s Body

Finish the pig’s body by drawing the belly line behind the legs, curving up to meet the wings. Don’t forget to add a curly tail at the back!

Step 9: Color Your Flying Pig

Now that your flying pig is drawn, it’s time to color! Pigs are usually pink, but you can use any colors you like. Try light blue for the wings and a darker pink around the edges. Remember, the most important part is to have fun and be creative!

Conclusion

Yay! You’ve drawn a flying pig! You can even add a background with clouds or more flying pigs to make your picture even cooler. We hope you had fun drawing and can’t wait to see your awesome artwork! Happy drawing!

  • What do you think makes drawing fun and creative? Can you think of other animals or things you would like to draw with wings?
  • Have you ever seen a picture or a story about something that doesn’t usually fly, like a flying pig? How did it make you feel, and what other fun ideas can you imagine?
  • When you color your flying pig, what colors will you choose and why? Do you have a favorite color that you like to use in your drawings?
  1. Flying Pig Observation Walk: Take a walk outside or look out the window and imagine where your flying pig might go. Would it fly over trees, buildings, or rivers? Draw a picture of your flying pig in its new environment. Think about what it might see from the sky and add those details to your drawing.

  2. Build a Flying Pig Model: Use clay or playdough to create a 3D model of your flying pig. Think about how the wings would help it fly. Try making the wings bigger or smaller and see how that changes your model. Share your model with a friend or family member and explain how you think your pig would fly.

  3. Story Time with Your Flying Pig: Write a short story about an adventure your flying pig might have. Where does it go? What does it see? Who does it meet? Share your story with your class or family. You can even draw pictures to go along with your story to make it more exciting!
