Drawing is a super fun way to be creative! Today, we’re going to draw a silly fortune cookie. Grab some paper, markers, crayons, or any coloring tools you have. Let’s have fun and start drawing!
First, let’s draw the shape of the cookie. Imagine a rainbow or an upside-down “U.” Start at the bottom, curve up, and then back down. This will be the shape of our fortune cookie.
Next, let’s draw the fortune paper sticking out from the side of the cookie. You can make this line long or short. If it’s long, you can even write a little message on it!
To make the cookie look more real, draw another line that matches the first one. Connect these lines to make the other side of the fortune. Now, imagine the fortune going behind the cookie. Draw a small line to show this, and then curve it down to connect to the bottom of the cookie.
Let’s make the cookie look thicker! Start from the top and draw a line that looks like the first one, but make it go down further. Then, draw a diagonal line that goes up to the middle, curves a little, and connects to the other side.
Now, let’s make our cookie funny! Draw big eyes on the cookie. You can make it smile, wink, or even look sleepy. Add a smaller circle inside each eye for highlights, and color the bigger circles, leaving the smaller ones white.
For the mouth, draw a big, happy smile in the center. You can make it an open mouth with teeth and a little tongue sticking out. Color the inside of the mouth to finish the look.
Now it’s time to color your drawing! Use markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint. Try using light brown for the cookie, a darker brown for shading, and pink for the tongue. Take your time and make it colorful!
Yay! You’ve finished drawing and coloring your funny fortune cookie. We hope you had a blast! You can add more to your drawing, like more cookies or someone enjoying a cookie. Keep drawing and have fun! See you next time!
Fortune Cookie Hunt: Ask an adult to help you find a real fortune cookie or look up pictures of them online. Observe the shape, color, and how the fortune paper sticks out. Compare it to your drawing. What did you notice about the real cookie that you can add to your drawing to make it even more realistic?
Create Your Own Fortune: On a small piece of paper, write a fun or kind message, just like a real fortune. You can use words like “You are awesome!” or “Keep smiling!” Once you have your message, fold it and place it inside a real or pretend cookie. Share your fortune with a family member or friend and see their reaction!
Cookie Story Time: Imagine your funny fortune cookie is alive! What adventures would it go on? Draw a picture or write a short story about your cookie’s day. Does it meet other cookies? Does it make new friends? Share your story with your class or family.
