How to Draw a Funny Water Balloon

Let’s have some fun drawing a silly water balloon that looks like it’s shouting as it flies through the air! Get your drawing tools ready, and let’s begin!

Materials Needed

Before we start, make sure you have these materials:

  • Pencil
  • Marker
  • Paper
  • Coloring supplies

Step 1: Sketch the Basic Shape

Let’s start by drawing the shape of the water balloon.

  1. Draw a Big Circle: Make a big circle on the left side of your paper. Press just hard enough to see it, but not too hard so you can erase it easily later.
  2. Draw a Smaller Circle: On the right side, draw a smaller circle. This will be the bottom of the balloon.
  3. Connect the Circles: Draw a curved line from the top of the smaller circle to the big circle, and another curved line at the bottom.

Step 2: Add the Face

Now, let’s make our water balloon look funny by adding a face!

  1. Draw the Mouth: Start with a big, happy smile. Below the smile, draw another curve for the teeth.
  2. Add the Tongue: Draw a small curve coming out of the mouth for the tongue, and connect it with another curve.
  3. Detail the Mouth: Add lines for the teeth and draw the bottom lip curving around the tongue.
  4. Draw the Eyes: Make check marks above the eyes for eyebrows. Then, draw two ‘U’ shapes for the eyes and smaller ‘U’ shapes inside for the pupils.
  5. Add Cheek Lines: Draw extra lines on the cheeks to make the face look even funnier.

Step 3: Complete the Water Balloon

Let’s finish up the balloon shape.

  1. Finish the Top: Start from the lip of the balloon and connect it to the eyebrows. Trace over the pencil line to make the top of the balloon.
  2. Draw the Knot: Add the knot at the end of the balloon by drawing two diagonal lines and connecting them with a wiggly line.

Step 4: Erase Guidelines

Once you’re happy with your drawing, use an eraser to remove any pencil lines you don’t need anymore.

Step 5: Color Your Drawing

Now for the best part—coloring! Use any colors you like. You can also add extra details like splashes of water or more water balloons.

Conclusion

Great job! You’ve drawn and colored a funny water balloon. Remember, you can change your drawing however you like. We hope you had a blast drawing with us, and we can’t wait to see your creative ideas! Happy drawing!
