Let’s have some fun and learn how to draw a cute puppy dressed up as a witch for Halloween! Get your markers, paper, and something to protect your table, and let’s begin!
Start by drawing a small oval shape for the puppy’s nose. Above the nose, draw a pointy “V” shape to make space for the witch hat. You can make the “V” wider if you want a bigger hat.
Draw two big circles for the puppy’s eyes. Make sure they are the same size. Inside each eye, draw a smaller circle in the top left corner to make them look shiny and friendly. Color in the big circles, but leave the small ones white.
Draw a small curve for the mouth, and then add another curve that looks like a “W.” You can also draw a little tongue sticking out to make it extra cute.
Draw a curve over the eyes and back down, like a mountain, to start the hat. Next, draw a curve next to each eye for the ears, making a big letter “V” shape. Finish the hat by drawing a line from the top of the hat to the cheeks. Then, draw a curve that bends over and back down for the pointy part of the hat. Add a band across the hat by drawing two matching curves.
Connect the ears with a curved line to form the puppy’s head. Draw a curve between the eyes for the snout and a “U” shape that connects to both eyes.
From the chin, draw two lines downwards to make the body. For the legs, draw another line next to the body lines, leaving a small space. Connect the outside of the legs to the inside line to form the feet, and add curves for the toes.
Start at the middle of the chin and draw a curve that connects to the back foot. Do the same on the other side. Connect the shoulders down to the cape with curved lines. Don’t forget to add a bow where the cape ties, using raindrop shapes for the loops.
To give your puppy some stylish socks, draw two curves at the top and connect them to the bottom. Add stripes by drawing lines in the middle and above and below.
Now that your drawing is complete, it’s time to add color! You can use markers, colored pencils, or even paint. Feel free to get creative with your color choices.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully drawn a Halloween puppy dressed as a witch. We hope you had a great time and encourage you to add your own personal touches, like a spooky background or additional elements. Happy drawing!
Explore Different Witch Hat Designs: Gather some paper and markers, and try drawing different styles of witch hats. Think about how you can change the shape or add decorations like stars or moons. Once you’ve drawn a few, choose your favorite and add it to your puppy drawing. Discuss with a friend or family member why you chose that design and how it changes the look of your puppy.
Puppy Dress-Up Day: Imagine your puppy is going to a Halloween party. What other costumes could it wear? Draw your puppy in different costumes, like a superhero or a pirate. Share your drawings with your classmates and talk about which costume you think your puppy would like best and why.
Color Experimentation: Use different coloring tools like crayons, colored pencils, or watercolors to color your puppy drawing. Try using unusual colors for the puppy or the witch hat. Observe how the colors change the mood of your drawing. Discuss with a partner how different colors make you feel and which ones you like best for your Halloween puppy.
