Before we begin, make sure you have these things ready:
First, use your pencil to draw a big circle at the top of your paper. This will be the main shape of the shell. Draw lightly so you can erase if you need to fix it.
Now, imagine a line cutting the circle in half from left to right. Put a small dot on each side of the circle where this line would be. These dots will help you keep the shell even.
Start at the left dot and draw a curve that goes up and then back down to the circle’s edge. Do the same on the right side. This makes the shell’s outer shape.
If you want, you can make the top of the shell taller. Use your pencil to adjust the height and erase any extra lines. When you’re happy with it, trace over your lines with a marker.
For the bottom part, start on the left side and draw a curve that goes down and then back up, stopping before the top. This is where the Koopa’s head will pop out. Draw a “U” shape inside for the head.
Draw another “U” shape for the arms and two more for the legs. You can make them bigger if you like. Once you’ve drawn them, color them in black.
To make the shell look interesting, draw a curve from the bottom to the arm hole. Then, add another curve between the two “U” shapes. Finally, draw some upside-down “V” shapes on the shell for texture.
Erase any leftover pencil lines to make your drawing look neat and clean.
Now, it’s time to color! Pick your favorite colors for the shell. You can use green for a classic Koopa shell or red for a different look. Be creative and have fun with your colors!
