How to Draw a Minecraft Cat

Let’s have some fun drawing a cute cat that looks like it came from the Minecraft world! Follow these easy steps, and soon you’ll have your very own blocky cat drawing.

What You Need

Before we start, make sure you have these things ready:

  • Markers or colored pencils
  • Paper

Step 1: Draw the Cat’s Head

Let’s start with the head:

  1. Draw a lowercase “L” shape. This is one side of the cat’s head.
  2. Make the bottom of the “L” a bit longer to form a rectangle shape.
  3. Draw a line across the top to finish the head shape.

Step 2: Add the Nose

Now, let’s give our cat a nose:

  1. Draw a square in the middle of the rectangle. This is the nose.
  2. Use another “L” shape to make sure the sides of the square are even.

Step 3: Draw the Eyes

Time to add some eyes:

  1. Draw a line on each side of the nose for the eyes.
  2. From the nose, draw two short lines going up for the eyes.
  3. Make a rectangle shape for each eye and split them down the middle.

Step 4: Draw the Ears

Let’s give our cat some ears:

  1. Draw two lines going up from the head and connect them to make the left ear.
  2. Do the same on the other side for the right ear.

Step 5: Draw the Body

Now for the body:

  1. Draw two long lines down from under the chin for the body.
  2. Draw a line across just under the head for the collar.
  3. Draw another line for the chest.

Step 6: Draw the Legs

Let’s add some legs:

  1. Draw two lines next to each other from the chest for the front legs.
  2. Connect the bottom with a line for the feet.
  3. Draw lines from the bottom for the back legs and connect them.

Step 7: Draw the Tail

Time for the tail:

  1. Draw two lines out to the right for the tail and connect them at the end.
  2. Draw another line going up next to it and connect them at the top.

Step 8: Final Touches

Let’s finish up:

  1. Draw a line between the legs to complete the bottom of the cat.
  2. Use your markers or colored pencils to color your cat. You can choose any colors you like!

Conclusion

Great job! You’ve drawn a Minecraft cat. Remember, you can make your cat unique by using different colors and patterns. We hope you had a lot of fun drawing with us!

  • What do you think makes Minecraft cats different from real-life cats? Can you think of any other animals that might look different in the Minecraft world?
  • Have you ever drawn an animal before? How was it similar or different from drawing the Minecraft cat?
  • If you could create your own Minecraft animal, what would it be and what special features would it have?
  1. Explore Different Cat Designs: Now that you’ve learned how to draw a Minecraft cat, try drawing other animals in the same blocky style. Can you draw a Minecraft dog or a Minecraft rabbit? Use the same steps and shapes to create your new animal friends. Share your drawings with your classmates and see what unique animals they have created!

  2. Color and Pattern Experiment: Use your markers or colored pencils to experiment with different colors and patterns on your Minecraft cat. What happens if you make the cat striped or spotted? Try using colors you see on real cats or invent your own color combinations. Discuss with a friend why you chose those colors and patterns.

  3. Observe Real Cats: If you have a pet cat or know someone who does, spend some time observing it. Notice the shapes and patterns on its body. How are they similar or different from your Minecraft cat drawing? Write down or draw what you observe and think about how you could incorporate these details into your next drawing.
