Drawing a piggy bank is a fun and creative activity! Let’s learn how to draw a cute piggy bank using simple steps. Gather your drawing supplies, and let’s get started!
Start by drawing a big oval with your pencil. This will be the body of your piggy bank. Draw it lightly so you can erase it easily later.
Next, draw a small circle on top of the oval. This circle will look like a coin going into the piggy bank.
Use your eraser to remove the bottom part of the circle that overlaps with the oval. Now it looks like the coin is inside the piggy bank!
Take your marker and outline the piggy bank. Draw the ears as upside-down “V” shapes on top of the oval.
For the nose, draw an oval shape just outside the body. Add a curve at the top of the nose that connects to the oval, and trace the line up to the ears.
Draw two small lines on the nose for nostrils. For the mouth, start at the bottom of the nose, curve down, and draw a smile. Add a cute cheek at the end of the smile!
Draw the front leg by making a diagonal line down to the left. Curve the bottom of the foot and draw another diagonal line back to the body. Repeat for the back legs.
Draw the belly by curving from the pencil line back. Finish the top of the pig by starting at the ear, curving down past the coin, and connecting to the back leg.
Draw piggy toes by making curves that go down and then back up.
Draw one eye as a circle since we’re drawing the piggy bank from the side. Add a smaller circle inside for a highlight and color in the larger circle.
To make the coin look 3D, trace over the pencil line and add a curve at the top. Add texture lines across the side of the coin for more detail.
Use your eraser to remove any pencil lines you can still see.
Now it’s time to color! Use your favorite colors to make your piggy bank look amazing. You can use the same colors as in the demonstration or choose your own.
Great job! You’ve drawn a piggy bank. We hope you had fun and enjoyed being creative. Happy drawing!
