Drawing is super fun, especially when we draw cute animals like sheep! Let’s learn how to draw a sheep with a sunny background and pretty flowers. Grab your crayons and paper, and let’s start!
Eyes: Use your black crayon to draw two circles next to each other for the eyes. Inside each circle, draw smaller circles for the pupils.
Face Shape: Below the eyes, draw a U-shape for the mouth. Connect this U-shape to the top of the head with a rounded line.
Ears: Draw two cute, rounded ears on each side of the head.
Color in the ears and the face, but keep the eyes white. Take your time!
Body Shape: From the top of the head, draw a bumpy cloud line around and connect it at the bottom to make the fluffy body.
Legs: Draw four rectangle shapes for the legs. Each leg should come down from the body and connect back to the cloud line. Color the legs.
Draw a small upside-down U-shape at the back of the sheep for the tail and color it in.
Grass: Use your green crayon to draw a zigzag line across the bottom of the paper for grass.
Flowers: Draw stems by making vertical lines. Add one or two flowers on each stem and don’t forget the leaves!
Use your yellow crayon to draw circles for the flower centers and color them. Then, use your pink crayon to add petals around the centers.
Use your yellow crayon to draw a sun in the corner of your paper. Add rays to make it shine bright!
Add a happy face to the sun or other fun details like a barn, a baby sheep, or a butterfly. Let your imagination run wild!
Great job! You’ve drawn and colored your very own sheep. Remember, art is all about having fun, so feel free to add your special touches. Enjoy your drawing and happy creating!
Sheep Observation Walk: Take a walk in a nearby park or farm with your family. Look for real sheep or other animals. Notice their shapes, colors, and how they move. Can you see the fluffy body like the one you drew? Talk about what you see and try to draw another animal you observe when you get back home.
Color Mixing Experiment: Use your crayons to explore what happens when you mix colors. Try coloring over the yellow sun with a pink crayon. What new color do you see? Experiment with different combinations and see how many new colors you can create. Share your discoveries with your classmates or family.
Create a Story: Imagine a day in the life of your drawn sheep. What adventures does it have in the sunny field with flowers? Write a short story or tell it to a friend or family member. You can even draw more pictures to go along with your story!
