Create Your Own Strawberry Monster: A Fun Drawing Guide

Let’s have some fun and make a cool strawberry monster! This drawing activity is perfect for anyone who loves art. Grab your drawing tools, and let’s get started!

Materials Needed

Before we begin, make sure you have these materials:

  • Paper
  • Markers in different colors
  • Optional: Scratch paper to protect your table

Step 1: Folding the Paper

  1. Fold the Paper: Take the top edge of your paper and line it up with the bottom edge. Press down in the middle and out to the corners.
  2. Create a Flap: Take the top flap and line it up with the top edge, then press it down.
  3. Flip and Repeat: Turn the paper over and do the last step again to make another flap.
  4. Unfold the Last Fold: Open the last fold to make a guide, then flatten the paper out. Your paper should now open like a book.

Step 2: Drawing the Strawberry Shape

  1. Draw the Strawberry Outline: Draw a big upside-down “U” shape above the fold. This will be the top of your strawberry.
  2. Add the Bottom: Curve under from the left side, round off the bottom, and connect back up on the right side.
  3. Draw the Stem: At the top, draw a curve coming out to the right and another that matches it on the left, connecting them at the top.
  4. Add Leaves: Draw curves for the leaves sticking out from the top of the strawberry. Add as many leaves as you like!

Step 3: Adding a Face

  1. Draw the Eyes: Make two big circles for the eyes, making one a little bigger for fun. You can make the eyes look happy or silly!
  2. Add Highlights: Inside each eye, draw smaller circles for highlights. You can also add eyebrows or wrinkles for extra character.
  3. Draw the Mouth: Below the fold, draw a straight line for the mouth, leaving space on each side. You can add cheek lines for a friendly touch.

Step 4: Unveiling the Scary Side

  1. Open the Fold: When you open the paper, you should see half of the strawberry on top and half below.
  2. Draw Scary Teeth: Below the fold, start drawing scary teeth. Use curves and zigzag lines to create a mix of large and small teeth.
  3. Add a Tongue: Draw a curved tongue that weaves between the teeth. You can also include smaller strawberries or other fun elements inside the mouth.

Step 5: Finalizing the Drawing

  1. Draw the Inside of the Mouth: Connect the sides of the mouth with lines that go behind the teeth and tongue.
  2. Outline the Strawberry: Connect the sides of the strawberry to the bottom, imagining it going behind the teeth.
  3. Add Arms and Claws: Draw arms coming out from the sides of the strawberry, complete with sharp claws for a monster-like effect.

Step 6: Coloring Your Creation

Now that your strawberry monster is drawn, it’s time to bring it to life with color! Take your time to color in your drawing, adding details and personal touches as you go.

Congratulations! You’ve created your very own strawberry monster. Remember, there are no limits to your creativity—feel free to add extra elements or change your design. Enjoy the process, and don’t forget to share your artwork with friends and family. Happy drawing!
