How to Draw a Unicorn

Have you ever wanted to draw a magical unicorn? It’s a lot of fun and easier than you might think! Let’s learn how to create your very own unicorn drawing. Get your paper and pencils ready, and let’s get started!

Step 1: Draw the Unicorn’s Head

Start by drawing a big oval shape for the unicorn’s head. This will be the face of your unicorn. Add a small circle on one side of the oval for the nose. Don’t forget to draw two big, friendly eyes and a happy smile!

Step 2: Add the Horn

Now, it’s time to add the unicorn’s magical horn. Draw a long, pointy triangle on top of the unicorn’s head. You can make it as tall as you like. Add some lines inside the horn to make it look like it’s spiraling.

Step 3: Draw the Ears

Next, draw two ears on top of the unicorn’s head. They look like little triangles. Make sure they are nice and pointy!

Step 4: Create the Mane

The unicorn’s mane is beautiful and flowing. Draw wavy lines coming down from the top of the head. You can make the mane as long and curly as you want. Use your imagination and add lots of colors to make it look magical!

Step 5: Draw the Body

Now, let’s draw the unicorn’s body. Start by drawing a big oval shape for the body. Then, add four legs by drawing long rectangles coming down from the body. Don’t forget to add little hooves at the bottom of each leg.

Step 6: Add the Tail

Finally, draw a long, flowing tail at the back of the unicorn. Just like the mane, you can make it wavy and colorful. Use your favorite colors to make your unicorn look amazing!

Step 7: Add Details

Now that you have the basic shape of your unicorn, you can add some extra details. Draw stars, hearts, or even a rainbow around your unicorn to make it look even more magical. You can also add some grass or flowers at the bottom to show where your unicorn is standing.

Have Fun!

Remember, your unicorn can look however you want it to. Use your imagination and have fun with your drawing. You can even give your unicorn a name! Drawing is a great way to express yourself and create something unique. Enjoy your magical unicorn adventure!

  1. Unicorn Observation Walk: Take a walk outside and look for things that remind you of unicorns. It could be a colorful flower, a shiny rock, or even a cloud shaped like a unicorn. Draw or write about what you find and how it inspires your unicorn drawing. Share your discoveries with your friends or family!

  2. Create a Unicorn Story: Use your unicorn drawing as the main character in a short story. Think about where your unicorn lives, what adventures it might go on, and who its friends are. Write a few sentences or tell your story out loud. You can even act it out with your friends or family!

  3. Unicorn Craft Time: Gather some craft supplies like colored paper, glitter, and stickers. Use these materials to create a 3D unicorn. You can make a unicorn mask, a unicorn puppet, or even a unicorn hat. Use your imagination and have fun decorating your unicorn with lots of colors and sparkles!
