Let’s have some fun drawing a cozy bear that’s perfect for the fall season! Get your drawing tools ready, and let’s begin!
Before we start, make sure you have these supplies:
Start by drawing the bear’s nose in the middle of your paper, a little bit towards the top. Make it look like an upside-down triangle and color it in if you like.
Next, draw the bear’s mouth. Make a “J” or “U” shape, then add a backward “J” to finish the mouth.
For the eyes, draw two circles—one on each side of the nose. Inside each circle, draw a smaller circle and leave it white to make the eyes look shiny. Color the bigger circles and add eyelashes if you want your bear to look extra cute.
Now, draw the top of the bear’s head using a big upside-down “U” shape. For the ears, draw half-circles attached to the head, and add smaller circles inside for the ear details.
To make your bear cozy, draw a scarf around its neck. Start with a curve that wraps around, then draw the sides of the scarf hanging down and connect them with another curve.
Draw the bear’s body by making a line that curves out from the bottom of the scarf. Do the same on the other side, making sure both sides look the same.
For the legs, draw two straight lines going down, then add a curved line for the feet. Make sure the feet are the same size. Connect the legs with a curve in the middle and add little lines for the toes.
Decide how you want the bear’s arms to be. You can make them waving, hanging down, or holding something. Let’s have the bear holding a mug. Draw a sideways “U” shape for each arm, then add lines for the fingers.
In the bear’s paws, draw an oval shape for the mug. Add a line on top to connect the two paws, and draw the bottom of the mug curving behind the paw.
Add some fun details to the scarf by drawing diagonal lines and little strings hanging down.
To finish your bear, draw a “U” shape on top of its head for a hat. Add a small pom-pom on top and a curved line across the bottom to show the folded part of the hat.
Once you’re done drawing, it’s time to color your bear. You can use any colors you like, but brown is a great choice for the bear. Feel free to add fall leaves or other fun things to your drawing.
Great job! You’ve drawn a cozy bear ready for fall. We hope you had fun with this drawing activity and enjoyed coloring your bear. Happy drawing!
Bear Observation Walk: Take a walk in your neighborhood or a nearby park with a grown-up. Look for things that remind you of the cozy fall bear you drew. Can you find leaves, scarves, or hats? Talk about how these things make you feel cozy, just like your bear. Draw a picture of what you see and share it with your class.
Story Time with Your Bear: Imagine your cozy fall bear comes to life! Write a short story or tell a story to your family about an adventure your bear goes on during the fall. What does your bear see, hear, and do? Draw a picture of your bear in the story and share it with your friends.
Color Mixing Experiment: Use your coloring materials to explore different shades of brown for your bear. Mix different colors like red, yellow, and blue to see what shades you can create. Try to match the colors of real fall leaves. Share your favorite color mix with your class and explain how you made it.
