Let’s have some fun drawing a cute hedgehog all dressed up for fall! This little hedgehog will have a cozy hat and be surrounded by colorful autumn leaves. Grab your marker and paper, and let’s start drawing!
Nose: Begin by drawing an oval shape in the middle of your paper for the hedgehog’s nose.
Mouth: Under the nose, draw a small curve on each side to make the mouth.
Eyes: Draw two circles for the eyes, one on each side. Inside each eye, add a tiny circle for a shiny look, and color the bigger circle, leaving the small one white.
Ears: Draw two upside-down U shapes for the ears, one on each side of the head.
Head Shape: Connect the ears with a curved line that goes over the nose and back down to form the top of the head.
Body Shape: Make a pear-like shape by curving down from the head and connecting back up to the ears.
Arms: Draw two sideways U shapes for the arms, one on each side.
Fingers: Add two small lines on each arm to show the fingers.
Feet: Draw two oval shapes for the feet, tilting them a bit.
Toes: Add two small lines on each foot for the toes.
Top Spikes: Draw a curve connecting the ears and add zigzag lines on top for the hedgehog’s spikes.
Side Spikes: On each side of the body, draw curves with zigzag lines to make more spikes.
Beanie: On top of the hedgehog’s head, draw an upside-down U shape for the beanie.
Pompom: Add a small pompom on top of the hat using a zigzag line or a simple curve.
Hat Fold: Draw a curved line at the bottom of the hat to show where it folds.
First Leaf: Start with a stem and draw a V shape at the bottom. Add zigzag lines on each side to make the leaf.
Second Leaf: Draw another stem and an oval shape for a different leaf type.
Third Leaf: Create a curve for the stem and an upside-down V shape with spikes for a unique leaf design.
Now that you have a few leaves, fill the rest of the page with different leaf shapes and sizes. Change the directions and styles of the leaves to make your drawing more exciting.
First Acorn: Draw a letter U shape for the base and connect it with a rounded top.
Stem: Add a small stem at the top of the acorn.
More Acorns: Draw more acorns in different ways to add variety.
Once your hedgehog and the surroundings are drawn, it’s time to color! You can use the colors from the video or choose your own favorite colors.
Great job on drawing your cute hedgehog ready for fall! Feel free to add any extra details you like, such as a cup of hot chocolate or other fun fall items. Enjoy coloring your artwork, and have fun showing it off!
Leaf Hunt Adventure: Go on a leaf hunt in your backyard or a nearby park. Collect different types of leaves and bring them back home. Compare the leaves you find with the ones you drew in your hedgehog picture. Can you find leaves that look similar? Try drawing new leaves you discovered and add them to your hedgehog’s scene.
Hedgehog Dress-Up: Use craft materials like colored paper, fabric scraps, or stickers to create different outfits for your hedgehog. Think about what your hedgehog might wear in different seasons or for special occasions. Cut out and decorate these outfits, then place them on your hedgehog drawing. Share your hedgehog’s new look with your family or friends!
Story Time with Hedgehog: Imagine a story about your hedgehog and the autumn leaves. What adventures might your hedgehog have in the fall? Write a short story or draw a comic strip showing your hedgehog’s journey. Think about what other animals or characters might join in the fun. Share your story with your class or family.
