Let’s Draw an Easter Boy!

Drawing is a super fun way to be creative, especially when it’s about something exciting like Easter! Today, we’re going to learn how to draw a cute Easter boy with bunny ears and a big smile. So, grab your drawing tools, and let’s get started!

What You Need

Before we start, make sure you have these things:

  • A marker or any drawing tool you like
  • Paper
  • Coloring materials like crayons or colored pencils

Step 1: Draw the Smile

Begin by drawing a small smile in the middle of your paper. Make it bigger like a jelly bean for a happy open mouth. Add some teeth and a tongue inside. Color the tongue and leave the teeth white.

Step 2: Add the Eyes

Next, draw two circles for the eyes, one on each side of the mouth. To make them look shiny, add a tiny circle inside each eye at the top left. Color the big circles and leave the tiny ones white.

Step 3: Outline the Head

Let’s shape the head! Draw the cheeks, then a curve for the chin, and connect it back to the other eye. For the top of the head, draw a gentle curve because the boy will wear a hoodie.

Step 4: Draw the Hair

You can choose straight or curly hair. For straight hair, draw wavy lines. For curly hair, use bumpy lines. Add eyebrows above each eye.

Step 5: Create the Hoodie

To draw the hoodie, start from the chin and make a curve for the hood. Extend the curves out and then connect them back to the chin.

Step 6: Add Bunny Ears

Now, let’s draw bunny ears! Make a curve for each ear, making sure they look the same. Inside each ear, draw a smaller shape for the inner ear.

Step 7: Draw the Body and Easter Egg

Under the chin, draw a big oval for the Easter egg the boy is holding. Then, draw the hands holding the egg. Start with a thumb (an upside-down “U”) and add three more fingers as sideways “U” shapes.

Step 8: Draw the Arms

For the arms, draw a curve coming down from each side of the body, bending in to connect to the hands. Leave a little space at the top of each hand for the elbow.

Step 9: Add Shorts and Legs

Draw the shorts by making two vertical lines on each side, then connect them with an upside-down “V” shape in the middle. For the legs, draw lines down from the shorts and connect them at the bottom.

Step 10: Draw the Shoes

Finish by adding shoes. Draw a curve that comes out and then connects back in for each foot.

Step 11: Color Your Drawing

Now that you’ve drawn your Easter boy, it’s time to color! Use any colors you like. You can even pause and take your time to match your colors with the example.

Conclusion

Yay! You’ve drawn an Easter boy! Remember, the best part of drawing is having fun and being creative. You can even add a background if you want. Happy drawing!

  • What do you like most about drawing, and why do you think it’s fun to create pictures like the Easter boy?
  • Can you think of a time when you made something special for a holiday or celebration? What did you create, and how did it make you feel?
  • If you could add something else to your Easter boy drawing, like a pet or a favorite toy, what would it be and why?
  1. Observation Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or garden and look for signs of Easter. Can you spot any decorations, like bunny ears or Easter eggs? Draw what you see and add them to your Easter boy drawing. This will help you notice how Easter is celebrated in your community.

  2. Create Your Own Character: Imagine a new character for another holiday or event, like a Halloween ghost or a Christmas elf. Use the steps from the Easter boy drawing to create your character. Think about what special features your character might have, like a witch’s hat or a Santa hat, and draw them with a big smile!

  3. Color Mixing Experiment: Use your coloring materials to experiment with mixing colors. Try creating new colors by blending crayons or colored pencils. For example, mix blue and yellow to make green. Use these new colors to add unique touches to your Easter boy drawing, like a multicolored Easter egg.
