How to Draw an Easter Bunny Surprise

Let’s have some fun and learn how to draw a cute Easter bunny popping out of an Easter egg! Get your markers, paper, and coloring tools ready, and let’s start this creative adventure together!

Materials Needed

  • Markers (or any drawing tool you like)
  • Paper
  • Something to color with (like crayons or colored pencils)
  • Scratch paper (to keep your table clean)

Step 1: Prepare Your Paper

  1. Fold the Paper: Take the top edge of your paper and fold it down to meet the bottom edge. Make sure it’s lined up nicely, then press the fold in the middle and out to the corners.
  2. Create the Top Flap: Fold the top flap back up to the top, making sure it’s aligned in the middle and out to the corners.
  3. Flip the Paper: Turn your paper over and do the same folding steps again.
  4. Unfold the Last Flap: Unfold the last flap you made, then flip the paper over again.
  5. Protect Your Workspace: Put some scratch paper under your drawing paper to stop the markers from going through.

Step 2: Draw the Grass and Easter Egg

  1. Draw the Grass: At the bottom of your paper, draw a zigzag line to look like grass. You can make your grass as fun as you want!
  2. Draw the Easter Egg:
    • Start by drawing the top part of the Easter egg with an upside-down U shape above the fold.
    • Extend each side of the egg down and curve it into the grass.

Step 3: Create the Egg’s Cracked Opening

  1. Unfold the Drawing: Carefully unfold your paper to make it easier to draw.
  2. Draw the Cracked Egg:
    • Extend the sides of the egg a little higher.
    • Draw a zigzag line across the top and bottom of the egg, making sure the points don’t go below the bottom fold.

Step 4: Draw the Easter Bunny

  1. Bunny Shape: Draw a big upside-down U shape for the bunny’s body coming out of the egg.
  2. Add Bunny Ears: Draw two bunny ears by making curves that stick out from the top of the bunny’s head.
  3. Inside of the Ears: Draw smaller shapes inside each ear for the inner ear.
  4. Draw the Bunny’s Arms: Add sideways U shapes for the bunny’s arms sticking out from the sides.
  5. Add Paws: Draw small circles at the ends of the arms for the bunny’s paws.
  6. Draw the Face:
    • For the eyes, draw two small circles and color them in.
    • Create a mouth by drawing a curved W shape between the eyes.
    • Optionally, make the mouth larger and add bunny teeth by drawing a line at the top and down the middle.

Step 5: Color Your Drawing

Now that you have finished drawing, it’s time to add color! Take your time and enjoy making your Easter bunny bright and colorful.

Step 6: Add Extra Details

Feel free to add any extra decorations or fun things inside the egg, as long as they stay within the top and bottom folds. This is your chance to be super creative!
