Get ready for a fun and creative adventure! We are going to learn how to draw the cutest Easter pug with bunny ears. Grab your markers, paper, and coloring supplies, and let’s get started!
Start by drawing a “V” shape in the middle of your paper, a little bit towards the bottom. Add a line on top to make an upside-down triangle. Color this shape in to make the pug’s nose.
Above the nose, draw an oval shape that goes down and then back up, leaving space at the bottom for the mouth.
Draw a line coming down from the snout, then curve it out to the left and right to make the mouth. Add a little “U” shape at the bottom for the tongue!
For the eyes, draw two big circles that touch the snout. Inside each eye, draw a smaller circle, and then add even smaller circles in the top right corners to make the eyes look shiny. Color in the larger circles, leaving the smaller ones white.
Draw a curve that starts from one side of the snout, goes around the eyes, and connects back to the other side of the snout to finish the face.
Draw a big upside-down “U” shape for the pug’s body, starting from one side of the face and curving down and back up to the same height on the other side.
Pugs have cute wrinkles! Draw a small wrinkle over the nose and a longer one on the forehead.
Next, draw the pug’s ears. Start with a “U” shape next to each eye, curving up higher and connecting to the head.
Draw two “U” shapes for the paws, leaving a little space between them. Add small lines on each paw to show the toes.
Between the paws, draw an upside-down “V” shape to make the top of the eggshell. Connect this to the body on both sides, and then draw a big “U” shape to finish the egg.
To make your pug look like it’s sitting on the ground, draw a zigzag line beneath the egg to show grass.
Let’s add some bunny ears! Draw a curve connecting the left ear to the right ear, like a headband. Then, draw two curves extending outwards for the ears, followed by another curve on each side to finish the ear shapes.
Finally, draw a curly tail by starting with a big curve that spirals inwards.
Now that your Easter pug is complete, it’s time to color! Use your favorite colors for the pug and the eggs. You can also add extra decorations in the background, like more eggs or pugs.
Congratulations on drawing your adorable Easter pug! We hope you had a great time following along and that your artwork turns out beautifully. Don’t forget to share your creations and have fun with your coloring!
Observation Walk: Take a walk around your neighborhood or a park and look for different animals. Notice their features like ears, noses, and tails. How are they similar or different from the pug you drew? Try to find animals with unique features and discuss how you might draw them. You can even bring a small sketchbook and try drawing one of the animals you see!
Create Your Own Animal: Use your imagination to create a new animal by combining features from different animals you know. Draw your new animal on a piece of paper. Does it have the ears of a bunny, the tail of a pug, or the body of a cat? Give your animal a name and share your drawing with a friend or family member. Explain why you chose each feature.
Color Mixing Experiment: Gather some paint or colored pencils and experiment with mixing colors. Try to create new colors for your Easter pug drawing. What happens when you mix blue and yellow? How about red and white? Use these new colors to add unique touches to your pug’s ears, body, or the eggs. Discuss with a friend or family member which color combinations you like the most and why.
