Let’s have some fun drawing an elf! Get your crayons and paper ready, and let’s begin our creative adventure!
Start by using your orange crayon to draw a “U” shape at the bottom of your paper. This is the elf’s face. Then, draw a line across the top of the “U” to make the top of the head. Color this shape with your orange crayon.
Now, take your black crayon to draw the elf’s hat. Draw two short lines going up from the sides of the head. Connect the tops of these lines to make the fluffy part of the hat. Add a circle at the top for the pom-pom, just like Santa’s hat!
Use your green crayon to draw the sides of the hat. Start from the top of the head and draw a diagonal line down to the outside for one side. Do the same on the other side to make a triangle shape. Color the triangle with your green crayon.
Now, let’s give your elf a face! Use your black crayon to draw two circles for the eyes. Then, draw a mouth. You can make it a happy smile or any expression you like. Use your pink crayon to add a nose.
To make your elf look cute, color in the mouth and add pink cheeks to show your elf might be a little cold. Now, draw the ears! Use your black crayon to draw lines that stick out on both sides of the head for the top of the ears. Draw a line that connects down to complete the ears and color them in.
Yay! You have drawn an elf! Remember, it’s okay if your drawing looks different from others. The most important thing is to have fun and practice your drawing skills. We hope you enjoyed this activity, and we can’t wait to see you next time!
Elf Story Time: After drawing your elf, think about what kind of adventures your elf might go on. Share a story with your family or friends about a day in the life of your elf. What does your elf like to do? Where does your elf live? This will help you use your imagination and think creatively about your drawing.
Elf Dress-Up: Use different colored crayons or markers to create new outfits for your elf. What would your elf wear if it was going to a party or playing in the snow? Draw these outfits on a separate piece of paper and cut them out to dress your elf in different styles. This activity encourages you to think about colors and patterns.
Elf Observation Walk: Go for a walk with a family member and look for things that remind you of your elf. Maybe you’ll see a hat that looks like your elf’s hat or a tree that your elf might like to live in. Draw or write down what you see and share it with your class. This will help you connect your drawing to the world around you.
